Join our nominee Rita May Ranck for Dorchester County Council District 3 tonight!
Rita May wants to protect our quality of life. She is a caring conservative. A nurse and successful small business owner, Rita May has spent time protecting Dorchester County for over 20 years - with the county’s anti-litter group and on the Parks and Recreation Commission.
While campaigning in Tranquil Acres, I heard concern from residents about the rising crime in the neighborhood. I contacted Chief Deputy Sam Richardson at the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office to discuss the concerns raised. He jumped into action, and we worked with the residents to start organizing a crime watch in the neighborhood.
They had their first meeting recently. Thank you to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office for jumping in and helping the residents, but a bigger thank you to the residents for being committed to supporting and improving your neighborhood.
Early voting started this morning. I would be honored to have your vote.
Anyone can go vote early over the next two week. Here are the two convenient locations to District 3. There is also a location in St. George.

I took the time on this Constitution Day to once again re-read this great document.
In Dorchester County, we need a county government 'by the people' and 'for the people.' I am dedicated to that cause.
I served for more than 15 years on the Keep Dorchester County Beautiful Committee. I now serve on the county Parks & Recreation Commission.
We have only one Dorchester County and only one Ashley River. We can't ruin it. It's on us to preserve both.
The traffic stinks. We all know it. Solutions start with road resurfacing projects, intersection improvements, and build to bigger projects that can alleviate the traffic. We need to protect our neighborhoods from being used as drag strips.
We must never forget what happened on 9/11. And remember and honor those fallen heroes from our policemen and firemen to the ordinary citizens who became heroes on that day.
As a conservative, I think your elected officials should be held accountable to the voters. They should be 'by the people' and 'for the people' and not in it for themselves.
I will always remember that!
I'm a nurse who built a successful business. I have been involved in conservative causes my entire life.
As a professional caregiver, I want to ensure the county is doing what it needs to care for our most vulnerable citizens.

I wanted to make sure everyone knew - I am not on the ballot tomorrow. I was unopposed in the Republican primary.
I am so honored to be the Republican nominee, but I need your help. In November, the Democrats are coming after this seat, and I'm going to need your help to keep this seat Republican.
Make sure you do vote in the Republican primary tomorrow though. There are a lot of important races for you to make a difference in.
