Also I made some really cool from people’s old jeans and denim scraps.
The sea of blue denim with white lace like the salty spray of the waves crashing on the sandy beach.
The last picture shows the back of the pants really well too :)

We will be showcasing 12 looks all made from donated materials, discarded fabrics, old jeans and even a blanket! The collection is about saving the ocean by reusing materials instead of throwing them away.
Did you know it takes about 2000 gallons of water to produce a single pair of jeans?!?
That’s why we choose to reuse.

Yes, I did see a blanket at an Airbnb and yes, I asked to turn it into fashion. So glad I did!
I made a few pieces with the blanket material. I’ll post the blanket fringe top next!

The SoCal Wannabe collection is inspired by my hometown of San Diego, the ocean and beach/surf culture. Made of repurposed denim, resourced stretch mesh, and donated silk chiffon and lace remnants; all of the materials used in this collection were sustainably sourced.

Selling my vintage treasures! This was my vendor booth at and the gorgeous Michelle bought that beautiful red gown!
My table was full of old fashioned accessories including 50s fascinator hats, short and long gloves, authentic back seam thigh-high stockings, lace bullet bras, self-tie bow ties, real marble cuff links, and button suspenders.
