About Us
Over the course of several years, it has become more evident that the safety of the consumer is not always the priority of big companies. As such, many people have moved towards organic produce and natural household cleaning supplies, carefully sourcing everything from the diamonds they wear to the furniture and building materials they bring into their homes.
In keeping with this shift in consumer preference, and true to our own values, Clean Theory is a small, locally owned business specializing in handcrafted personal care items.
In many cases, commercially available soaps do not meet FDA guidelines for soap labeling. These products often contain detergents, added surfactants, and sulfates - an abundance of chemical compounds we may not be able to read or pronounce. Though not proven unsafe, in and of themselves, these chemicals have changed the face of personal care over the course of the last century, namely that we may not always be sure how (or from what) any given product is made.
Major settlements against companies like Johnson and Johnson demonstrate that each of us should be entitled to choose, with a certain level of transparency, what products we wish to bring into our homes. Informed choice begins with the knowlege of what your product of choice contains, how it was made, and the process involved in manufacturing.
