Should Israel Attack, a Strategic Analysis:

BZPAC’s emphatic answer to the question posed by the title is yes, and to do so without delay. The events of the last few weeks (months, years, and even decades) continue to demonstrate that Israel is beset on all sides by warmongering enemies bent on the destruction of its neighbor, simply because Israel exists. From the Houthis in Yemen launching drone attacks from over 2,000 kilometers away, to the much closer threats from Hezbollah in Lebanon just over Israel’s northern border and with Hamas in Gaza to the south, Israel has been under constant attack; claiming the lives of thousands of innocent Israeli civilians of whom the government is bound to protect. BZPAC asks, would you expect your government to take decisive action if you lost one of your children to these terrorists, such as the twelve killed by a Hezbollah missile while playing football last week? Israel’s government has the moral obligation to take decisive military action against the Hezbollah threat to the north while the opportunity exists.

The time has seemingly never been better for Israel to put these evil actors, specifically Hezbollah operating in southern Lebanon, out of operation. Politically, Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent visit to the United States was met with resounding bipartisan support from the US Congress. President Biden and Vice President Harris both voiced support of Israel in relation to its military operations as well as former President Trump, who currently leads this year’s presidential race. As in Israel, US political tides can shift rapidly. Presently, Israel enjoys an unprecedented level of US government support of Israel’s military situation, actions, and achievements against Hamas while better understanding the threat posed by Hezbollah. Now is the time to take advantage of this high tide of US political support and the US Congress’s greater grasp of the threat posed by Hezbollah. Militarily, with the IDF ready, the season is ripe for an offensive.

Time being of the essence, it often slips away from the attacker while delay allows the defender to better prepare. Hezbollah is not getting weaker in southern Lebanon. US and NATO allies remain in theater poised to assist Israel militarily as they did against the Iranian missile and drone attack in April. Such available support, especially in these rapidly changing times, may not always be available. Additionally, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Egypt are either not in a position politically, economically or militarily to interfere with an IDF ground operation against Hezbollah or, on the contrary, some would either publicly or privately support the destruction of the Iranian backed military threat in southern Lebanon.

From a political and military view, Israel currently enjoys myriad advantages that support a ground offensive. These advantages may be fleeting. Now is the time to move.

Baptists do not support unjust war. The famous words of the United States National Anthem say, “Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,” Israel’s cause is just. While idealists believe that, “an enemy is simply a friend that I haven’t done enough for”, the fifteen million strong BZPAC constituency does not suffer from such madness. The unfettered and uncompromising hatred of Hezbollah, which has created an immense and imminent threat against Israel, MUST be confronted with force. Israel’s right to defend itself is enshrined in human nature. Israel is justified to execute national military power to project force in effect to defend itself, be that enemy a lone su***de bomber or terrorist organization harboring vast amounts of weapons on Israel’s northern border. The sovereign right of Israel is to defend itself from all enemies both foreign and domestic.

Americans have held these concepts dear since the formation of our nation. We expect nothing less from our friends, especially those we hold so close. We at BZPAC encourage our Israeli ally to go forward with an aggressive, swift and decisive invasion to the north ( Lebanon ) and eliminate once and for all the ongoing threat to Israel’s security posed by Hezbollah. While limited strikes against single well chosen targets have been conducted by Israel recently, it seems that a much broader range of responses are totally justifiable and imminently necessary.

The window of opportunity during today’s political climate, is to act now without further delay. Delays weaken Israel’s posture to take corrective action against her enemies that will never relinquish their desire for Israel’s total destruction. Any weakness on Israel’s part will only embolden Iranian proxies and these tit for tat retaliations only translate into endless conflicts. Israel needs and will receive the prayers of all Bible believing Baptists in the coming days; as “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” - Edmund Burke

WHO WOULD USE NONCOMBATANT CIVILIANS AS "HUMAN SHIELDS?"

From the Bolsheviks to the N***s, to the Communist Chinese and Communist Koreans, to the Viet Cong and the Khmer Rouge, to the Islamists with their many worldwide terrorist organizations , and on it goes. The wicked will use residential areas, schools, hospitals, and other places known to provide vital services for noncombatants to house their command centers. They are using human shields; not concerned in the least with human life and perfectly willing to deliberately sacrifice a calculated representative number even of the very people they claim to represent and support.

On June 6, 2024, the Israeli Air Forces performed a surgical air strike on three rooms at a UNO/UNRWA "Palestinian" refugee school in Gaza City. The three rooms are supposed to be classrooms for children but were housing an operations center for Hamas commanders. Some of those commanders were involved in the planning of, and present at the October 7, 2023 murderous attack on Israeli civilians. From those three classrooms the planning of current and future attacks upon Israel were continuing.

Israel timed the surgical air strike, a very precise surgical smart bomb operation, on a schedule indicating that neither children nor school staff should have been present at the school. In fact, the operation was delayed twice when Israeli intelligence alerted that there could be civilians present. This is no absolute guarantee that no civilians would be affected, but it is known to be the operational procedure of Israel's Armed Forces and intelligence services to minimize civilian casualties to the greatest possible degree. Of course, every anti-Israel news outlet is claiming civilian deaths and injuries at the GAZA school. Who knows whether some civilians are not kept on site in such situations. In the first number of the Welt, Dr. Theodor Herzl’s new Zionist paper, he boldly expresses his opinions on the coming Congress and what it may effect. He points out that the Congress has not been summoned to raise an anti-Christian agitation, but to enable Jews to consider a purely Jewish (Question— the solution in many countries of a difficult problem.

"'We do not,' he says, ‘hide our heads in the sand ; the Jewish question exists, and it is becoming worse from day to day ; where it is not to-day it will establish itself to-morrow.' How wide are the effects of persecution, and how bad the situation actually is, cannot be accurately known. These are the facts that are being brought together, and these facts the Congress will review in order to arrive at a correct solution of the difficulty; Of course, the central idea will be the return of the Jews to their fatherland, and this is to be done by negotiating with the Sultan, and the support of the powers, not troubled by Jewish difficulties, for the settlement of the Jews and the cultivation of Palestine on an ordered plan. To accomplish this the Congress will have to devise proper plans. Nothing is to be done in hap-bazard fashion, and whilst it is impossible to foreshadow what the Congress will resolve, we do know that it will he actuated by the knowledge that it is supported by the masses of the Jews, that its delegates come from all parts of the world, that it is an assembly convened to afford even the poorest jew a happy and a wider horizon than has hithefto been his lot.” —JEWISH WORLD (magazine)
