We get lots of questions on bathrooms and what the design process is. There are a ton of details and decisions to make. These are just a few of them! Sorry for the background noise, we didn’t want to stop work to record when the guys were putting up sheetrock.

Finding solutions is a skill that great designers, contractors and tradespeople have. There are always issues that need to be addressed, it’s the nature of the beast!
At this 100 year old home we wanted to save as much original molding as possible mostly for budget reasons and also since it was a good height and style. When the wall AC unit was removed, we discovered this missing portion. It’s impossible to match and patch old molding. Fortunately we are planning a built in for an adjacent room so the painters removed that base and were able to use it here. Win win for all!

Sometimes it’s the simple things - and that includes window treatment choices! These are straight upholstered cornices with welting in a home office. Our client decided on a fabulous small scale print that complimented the paint color perfectly. It’s a simple, classic way to top a window.

Our client wanted to replace the wall to wall carpet in the entry & hallway with luxury vinyl plank. We encouraged her to continue the LVT into the kitchen as well, so glad she took our advice because it compliments the cabinets perfectly. Trusting design professionals may be the wisest decision a homeowner can make. Scroll through and you’ll see the blank space & progress photo.
Cabinetry design & installation credit goes to Letta at ALM Bespoke Design. She had the vision to extend the kitchen cabinetry into a functional coffee bar & desk space, including storage & floating shelves for display. It looks like it was always meant to be there.
We collaborated on the wall treatment, suggesting an amazing vinyl marble look paper which is made in Italy vs the client’s original desire to have real stone cladding on the wall (which would have increased the cost & scope significantly).
The results are just gorgeous, a testament to hiring the right design professionals.

Is green the new blue? While blue is so loved it’s essentially a neutral now, green has been gaining popularity over the years. We are thrilled that more of our clients are warming up to colors found in nature vs cool grey tones.
We helped our client complete this “sunroom” with beautiful upholstered cornices and a sisal rug from . The fabric is a soft floral that has multiple colors, zoom in to check out the details.

Garage level entry area in this co-op building needed to be updated on a tight budget. Main issues here are making sure the area is safe for all residents and able to withstand daily use including shopping carts and movers. We updated the lighting, replaced the flooring, repaired walls including new wall bumpers and used paint to create a little bit of interest. Scroll to see the improvements.

Arguably the most important part of the home, the kitchen. This is the same investment property as our previous post, owners had a strict budget & timeline.
