COVID 19 takes one of our own.
Today we mourn the loss of our hero, Charlotte Figi, the poster child for CBD. She lost her life not to Dravet Syndrome but to COVID-19.
As many of you know, Charlotte is the reason we know about CBD in this country. Her story of using low THC ma*****na to reduce her seizures from 300 to one or two a month made national headlines. Charlotte went from a comatose state, nearing death, to a full and happy life.
News of her success spread and caused hundreds of families to flock to Colorado, seeking alternative treatment for a variety of health issues including seizures. The strain of low THC ma*****na is now known as medicinal h**p, or full spectrum CBD. The strain of h**p now widely available is aptly named, Charlotte’s Web. At CBD BioCare we use this strain in all of our products.
A family friend posted on Facebook, “Charlotte is no longer suffering. She is seizure free forever.” This is a sad day for our industry. She will always be remembered as our hero and as the child whose story helped millions. God bless her family and her sweet soul. Charlotte was 13.
