This week I was proud to sign Bill 67-20 into law. Stormwater is a major issue in County. For years, developers have been able to install a stormwater system and leave the community to fix anything that goes wrong. Now, thanks to this bill, they'll have to provide a two year warranty.
This bill took a lot of hard work, research, and advocates to make it happen. Thank you to Allison Pickard, County Councilwoman District 2 for taking part in the stormwater workgroup and shepherding this bill through the legislative process, and thank you to the County Council for unanimously passing this critical legislation.
