We are asking for help from friends and family to help sponsor some lessons for kids who can’t otherwise afford it and also to help with preventative fly care against this VSV virus. Everything gets expensive for upkeep and preventative items let alone god forbid the aftercare if our horses get the virus. VSV is very serious causes very painful blisters that lead horses to not want to eat or drink and could lead to colic or even worse. We pray our horses don’t get this virus and send prayers out to the horses who have gotten it. Any and all help is amazing and we GREATLY appreciate it!!

As a trainer both for horses and riding (and also just in life), I get really down on myself and feel like I’m not doing enough. Lately it’s been about these girls.

“I’m not doing enough with them”
“They should be rideable by now”
“It doesn’t take this long to train horses”
“Why did I think the slow approach would be better?”

THIS. IS. WHY. Just the past couple weeks these girls are the FIRST to come to the gate when me, my students or my children are there. They both even let my infant hang on them! THAT IS WHY!!! Connection and trust will always be soooooo much more important to me than getting them rideable and broke fast and that takes TIME. I want them to trust me. I want them to know they’re loved and won’t be hurt.

Last month I sadly listed Jolene because I wasn’t feeling that connection. I went and got her teeth done and it IMMEDIATELY changed. That girl right there…. She’s my ride or die now (…. Get it? 😅😂) And after three sessions of her refusing the bit and me having to suck it up and pay for a mouth surgery, BOOM first try (after a bit of coaxing) took the bit!!! She spit it out 20 minutes in BUT she knows it’s not gonna hurt. She knows I won’t hurt her. That’s the biggest thing. Couldn’t imagine this barn without her now, she ain’t going anywhere!!

But all that to say, sometimes we’re hard on ourselves and feel like we aren’t enough. I proved myself wrong (or I guess right? 😂) in this moment. Both these girls loving on my babies and my brother. No hesitation. There’s trust. There’s love. There’s HOPE.

NOW it’s time for some real work!! 💪🏻😍

In celebration and remembrance of Hannah‘s life, we at LBE want to give our condolences and our heartfelt sincere grievances to her family and to her friends and her barn and to her horse that most forget will also grieve her loss.

We would like to make a special set of reins to donate. Proceeds to Hannah‘s family they will be a navy and silver and white you can order in either split or in looped. These will be made to order so please be patient with shipping times! But whether western or English the writing community is hurting right now and suffering a great loss from Hannah. Jolene is the perfect example or of crazy mare eye… pretty girl has had a hard time in the crossties so we worked on that today since the pens were out of order! After a whole hour we got her nice and groomed and braided and tail bagged! 😍🙌🏻

has the best tailbags in the game and Jolene DEFINITELY EARNED the brat tailbag today! Let’s see just how much of a brat she is and see if it’s still intact tomorrow. 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Hello! We realized FB never got a proper introduction from the crew! First things first, my name is Lexi I’m owner and riding instructor. I’ve been riding for 20 years, western style only and I love the gymkhana circuit! Barrels are my heart, but I’ve dabbled in other western riding ventures and would love to help you or your kiddos figure out what riding style has their heart as well.

Our main girl, Liberty is a 12 year old grey quarter cross and boy does she looooovvvvee the kiddos! And she may love barrels more than me! She’s fantastic for our lesson program and can’t wait to meet her next student rider. 🤗🤍

Oh Jolene.. our SPUNKY girl! She’s our 6 year old bay quarter cross and currently the owner’s exclusive four legged brat but she’s a babydoll and loves and the attention and treats that the kids can give. She’s currently in work under saddle but we have a lot of confidence that she’ll be a great horse! 🥰🤎

Lady May, the sweetest of the bunch, our 6 year old Medicine Hat paint mare who we rescued thanks to family and friends from a kill pen. She’s the sweetest girl and currently just trying to heal up from some illnesses and injuries she received while at the kill pen. 😇🤍

And the newest to the crew everyone welcome Elvis!! Our stud and only gelding in our crew, he’s an 18 year old fleabitten Arabian and don’t let the age fool you, he’s young at heart and just as energetic as the legendary rock n roller himself! He’s fantastic for lessons and has joined Liberty in the crew for lesson riding. We hope to soon get him barrel patterned and enter him in the gymkhannah circuit. 🤩🤍

Send us your zip code and a few color ideas and some info about your horse and we will ONLY charge that! So for instance my zip code is 92223, our reins are normally a minimum $45, but for the sale it would be 9+2+2+2+3=$18!! It’s a surprise item so they could be any color combo or split or looped, powdered hardware or metal you don’t know! But that’s the fun in it!! Zip code sale will be going on until April 23, so comment or PM is and we’ll get that sent! There will be an additional shipping charge on top of zip code. Payment can be sent to our Venmo , for the raffle ticket purchases, please make sure to leave “RAFFLE” as well your contact information in the memo (our Venmo will be set to private so no one sees your contact besides me), I will then text you your ticket numbers. They won’t be super long ticket numbers they will start with 1 and go on from there so do not be alarmed if your ticket number is only one to two digits, on May 1st we will do a drawing for ticket numbers PLEASE make sure you know your ticket numbers I will keep a list as well but please make sure to have them on a note or somewhere you can easily find them.

These fundraisers will be for us to purchase extra saddles and tack needed as well as to help purchase our comp team shirts for our gymkhanna girls! Gymkhanna will officially be starting for us May 6th and 7th and for any girls who haven’t already signed up I would love to give you any information regarding the events and fees to help your child get set up! Gymkhanna is a very fun event for all western riding lovers and I truly feel every child should be able to experience it however it is a pricey sport, these fundraisers are not only to help us get more tack to make it’s easier for everyone riding but to also help ease some of the cost for you families. Any bit helps and we greatly appreciate it! 🤍

Now we’re looking at a possible eye infection hoping for a clear bill of health and it being a minor irritation but it could be more serious. We’re keeping an eye on her but may be a pretty hefty vet bill coming up so any GoFundMe or Venmo donations are much appreciated! 🙏🏻

She seems to be happier despite this disadvantage though! Warming up to us and lighting up a bit every time we go to her pen! Lady May is just the absolute sweetest! So happy this girl got a second chance at life. 🥰🤍

Jolene is our THIRD horse now! She will most likely end up being my personal horse as she’s got some s***k to her that might be too much for the kids, but who knows once she gets some really work and saddle time into her she might be as sweet for the kids as Liberty. Welcome to the LBEquine crew baby girl! The crew is growing bigger and bigger by the day and I LOVE IT! 😍

So our girl came in a little more beaten and bruised than we’d hope but she’s here and on her way to a healthy and happy life!! But medical expenses and food and everything adds up especially since we just had to relocate our barn that also adds up a higher expense and she needs extra care than we could have anticipated. This girl is gonna be extraordinary, we all know it. Anything and everything helps her in every way. Even a share if you can’t donate! Thank you so much! 🤍🤍🤍

Our girl got her freedom ride yesterday!! She’ll now be at this rescue until shipping date! Can’t wait to get this girl at our ranch and lord knows she’ll need a good clean when she gets here with all that mud!
