Monster or Bat? Whether he’s a Transylvanian nobleman, or an undead blood thirsty vampire, humans look down upon this angry and violent individual with pity and disgust. Dracula, the sole inhabitant of a giant decaying castle, comes out only at night, looking to sink his fangs into his next victim. He’s often pictured as a tall old man, slouched over in posture with slicked back hair and not a spec of color in his face. His menacing yellow eyes and sharp fangs gleam brightly in the dark.

“Headless Horseman”

Monster or solider? A Hessian solider part of the revolutionary war, the Headless Horseman met his fate when he was decapitated by canon fire in the middle of battle. Legend has it that the Horseman is bound to its grave, appearing only at night to wander the graveyard in search of his head. He can be seen as a decapitated figure riding on a black horse while holding a wrathful jack-o-lantern.
