One of the things I am proud of in my life is bringing the Spelling Bee to four different schools. Most kids remember the word they missed for their entire life. My mom had not one, but two Webster’s Dictionaries (the giant ones). Learning words really does pay off in life. One year, the winning word had the same spelling as my middle name… kneidlach. I started out with in high school Freyda, in college Freida, then ended up with the German/Yiddish spelling which was fine until my last name was Stein, then it was EI followed by IE. Now I am Eva Frieda Lee, not Eva Frito Lay, 😂. I still have no name on my birth certificate, it says “baby girl” so I could answer to “Hey Baby” you know?

Hey Party People! Precinct Organization is happening March 6- 20. If you want to join us we want YOU! We will most likely zoom, but if anyone wants to zoom from my culdesac at the end of Tanbark near Falls/Neuse, you can stand in the street or byo chair and park in the cul de sac. Just like when Dr. Jill Biden came, we can have a parking lot rally! let me know what works best, Sunday 3/7 Sunday 3/14 or a mid week night from 7 to 7:30 pm. There will also be large meetings to attend by zoom with speaker videos and all kinds of going on. You have to live in Precinct 01-47 to submit a resolution, but you are welcome to come whether you live in 01-47 or any Wake Dem Precinct. You have to attend your home precinct to become a Wake County Delegate to the County and District Conventions later this year. Let's GO 2022!

From Eva Lee:
Voting for SEC Members is this Thursday. Please vote to re-elect Eva Lee to the SEC this Thursday. Wake County Democratic Party

Here's a partial list of activism for the NC Democratic Party since I was elected to the State Executive Committee:

1) Personally stuffed and hand delivered pre-early voting, just about 500 precinct slates in 11 separate turfs (walked my entire precinct) every single house, Nick and my son helped on 3 turfs.
2) Greeted voters 01-47 on March 3 in the rain for 4 hours. Site Captain for Precinct 01-47 for 2020 Election Day, set up a 10 by 10 the night before, decorated it, opened it at 5:50 am, greeted voters for about half the 12 hours and closed it down and collected the precinct tape and precinct signs for the District Coordinator at 8:43 pm. I may not have changed a vote that day, but I made sure the GOP knew we were there. Cheered every first time voter without exception.
3) Poll greeted early voting in Union County for one shift (175 miles each way).
4) Attended every SEC meeting since 2017. Taught people all over North Carolina how to find purged voters in their precinct (sort by Voter-Status-Reason-Description, then precinct, then residence-street-address and find ALL the purged voters).
5) Phone banked for the Coordinated Campaign, the Ossoff/Warnock campaigns and the Senior Dems.
6) Drove over 100 miles each way to track down and cure provisional ballots for the Beasley race on at least two occasions
7) Trained with the Wake Dems for poll greeting, phone banking, provisional ballot cure and kept it lively. Trained for provisional ballot cure for Georgia, thank goodness we didn't need at as much.
8) Helped plan and deliver the 42nd Annual Senior Dems first-ever virtual Convention in 2020 (convo materials at ncseniordmocrat.com ) with over 200 attendees and 100% Statewide Candidate attendance, six Congressional Candidates and Warren spoke for Biden. I remembered to ask GK how he felt about John Lewis on 7/24.
9) Volunteered for the NC Senior Dems in organizing Democrats all over North Carolina for the Ossoff/Warnock runoff
10) Built the NC Senior Dems mobilize, facebook, actblue and twitter platforms for over 35 existing and new chapters.
12) Organized my prior precinct 13-02 in 2017, and organized over twenty (20) in person canvasses for Linda Coleman in 2018,
13) Built the Nash County Democratic Party Poll Greeting Sign up used in 18 and 20
14) Built the Anson, Bertie, Jones, Hyde (Ocracoke), and Union County Party pages, all of which are flourishing. Turned them over to the then or current County Party Chairs.
15) Showed up in person for Cheri Beasley Monday before Election Day in Rocky Mount, Greensboro for Jill Biden on 10/31
16) Marched with the marchers in Graham County (Alamance) in a completely safe, non violent voting rights march from 4-6pm
17) Simultaneously zoomed into the 2020 NCSD State Convention and paid respects and donated money to the Hoke NAACP, the Floyd Family and personally paid respects to Murder Victim George Floyd in Raeford. Parked two miles away, walked the two miles each way, and on the way back, carried a woman of color I had never before met or even asked her name, physically on my back for about a half mile or a mile trading places with Elizabeth Crudup's husband every few hundred yards. She was on crutches and it was really hot.
18) Encouraged at least five or more people to run for elected office, two of whom ran for NC-US House in 2020. Pretty sure they are both running again in 2022. Always building the pipeline, here in NC and across the country.
19) Supported nearly half the federal candidates with small dollar monetary support. Supported ALL Statewide Candidates on Social Media. Supported the State Party with money and time. Supported State and Local Candidates as much as I could.
20) Hosted a progressive booth for 11 days for 12/hrs a day at the NC 2019 State Fair to increase Democratic presence in a sea of red. By myself. Gave rides to the NCDP booth volunteers at days' end if they wanted rides to their cars.
21) Offered to help my County Chair if she wanted help organizing unorganized precincts.
Pumped up the volume, yeah! yeah! Let's get this Party ON. WE are a proactive bunch, let's do this! !

I had no idea that this page jumped to several hundred followers! WOW! Please plan now for Precinct Organization for 2021. If you show up to the Precinct Organization Meeting, you become a County Delegate. The more people that show up, the more delegates we can have. The more the merrier! Precinct Organization was around February 17, or the 3rd Saturday in February and it only lasts for maybe an hour. We'd love everyone chipping in $5 that day, and if we get enough, we can make business cards, a parade banner, and pay for postage to do postcards to our neighbors.

Anyone who wants to zoom with 01-47 for a January meeting just post a good meeting time (not date) below and we'll find a good one. Do you have a resolution to build back better? Precincts vote on the resolutions and approved ones get sent to the County for the County Convention, then to the Congressional Committee, and then to the State Convention. Your voice matters.

Did you know that ONE volunteer can reach 80-90 Democrats in this precinct as a 5K walk? Does anyone want to "socially distance walk" a 5K? Obviously not today as it is pouring rain outside. But, if you could plan a 5K a week for the next two years, with the intent to keep Lara Trump out of Burr's seat in 2022, would you train for it like a marathon? I know I will be! Below are the Precinct 01-47. metrics:
Typical of North Carolina it is split 1/3 1/3 1/3. Do all the Democrats vote Blue and all the UNA's too? Inquiring minds want to know. Who do we really need to talk to now to improve turnout in 2021 and 2022? Volunteers make it happen. Right here in 01-47, and everywhere we love.
