Building Healthy Smiles conducted oral health screenings yesterday at Larsen Elementary School in Oxnard. Over 130 students received oral health screenings and 90 students received an application of fluoride varnish to help strengthen their teeth and prevent cavities. There was also a classroom contest that was won by Ms. Yolanda Hernandez and her 3rd grade class. Their class won playground equipment for being the class with the highest percentage of students with retuned consent forms. Congratulations! We would especially like to thank our partners at Sugarbug Dental & Orthodontics and their staff for helping us with screenings today. Thank you Leslie, Olga, Serena, and Yvonne!
