We are proud to announce the reopening of Surfside Jetty and San Luis Pass County Parks. We are also opening Follett's Island Free Public Beach (Access 1-5). Unfortunately, โ Quintana Beach County Park is still closed, however Quintana Town Beach will be open.

Texas New Mexico Power Update
Crews worked throughout the night and we are down to 17,059 outages (85% of the original 116,000 restored).
This weekendโs performances of Brazosport Center Stagesโ production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, originally set for July 12-14, are CANCELED.
Updated show dates are as follows:
* Friday, July 19 at 7:30 PM
* Saturday, July 20 at 7:30 PM
* Sunday, July 21 at 2:30 PM
* Monday, July 22 at 7:30 PM
* Tuesday, July 23 at 7:30 PM
If you already purchased tickets for this weekend (July 12-14), you should have received an email with instructions on how to reschedule your tickets, request a refund or convert your ticket purchase to a donation to Center Stages. If you have any questions, call The Center at (979) 265-7661 during regular business hours.
If you purchased tickets for next weekend (July 19-21), you donโt need to do anything, as your reservations are still valid.
If you want to purchase tickets to ANY of the five performances, get them online at bcfas.org/event/chitty-chitty-bang-bang-performances or call The Center during regular business hours (Monday โ Friday, 9:00am โ 5:00pm).
The Angleton Recreation Center will be closed through Friday, July 19, as it will continue to function as a Red Cross Shelter.
Participants scheduled for programs are being contacted about rescheduled dates. Silver Hearts programs are canceled.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has amended the Major Disaster Declaration for Hurricane Beryl to include Brazoria County, among others, for FEMA's Individual Assistance Program.
Residents of Brazoria County can apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance online at disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
FEMAโs Individual Assistance program funding assists with expenses such as temporary housing, emergency home repairs, uninsured and underinsured personal property losses, disaster legal services, disaster unemployment assistance, and medical, dental, and funeral expenses caused by the disaster.
Hotel Blessing sees major destruction from Beryl, closes popular cafe for repairs Known famously for only closing on Christmas Day, the Blessing Hotel Cafe is now closed until further notice following Hurricane Beryl damage.
๐ข IMPORTANT: HURRICANE BERYL UPDATE
๐ TWC is now accepting applications for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) in 15 counties* as a result of severe weather due to Hurricane Beryl. Individuals with jobs affected by severe weather in Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston, Harris, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Orange, Polk, San Jacinto, Walker, and Wharton Counties may be eligible for DUA benefits.

We want to keep you informed about the current beach access situation in Brazoria County. Due to recent events, the following beach access roads are temporarily closed:
Surfside Jetty Park
Folletโs Island (Public Beach Access roads 1-5)
San Luis Pass Park Beach (access road 6)
Quintanaโs pedestrian beach
๐ Residency Verification: Law enforcement officers are conducting checkpoints on the island to verify residency. If youโre not a resident, we kindly ask that you avoid driving down these closed locations.

๐จ Community Alert: Water and Ice Distribution POD ๐โ๏ธ
In response to the impact of Hurricane Beryl, the City of Angleton has established a Point of Distribution (POD) to provide water and ice for anyone in need. Let's come together and support one another during this challenging time.
๐ Location: Angleton Junior High School, 1201 E Henderson, Angleton, TX
โฐ Hours: Daily from 7:30 AM to 9 PM through Friday
Instructions:
๐ Please remain in your vehicle.
๐ Volunteers will load ice and water into your trunk or truck bed.
โก๏ธ Enter and exit from Henderson.
๐ฆ Two loading lanes will be available.
Distribution will continue each day until supplies last.
Together, we are strong. Letโs take care of each other, Angleton! ๐ช๐
