Our ego is how we present ourselves to the world; the idea of self.
This concept of self is often hard wired and rooted in the accumulation of beliefs and ideals, experiences both good and bad, family dynamic based conditioning and societal conditioning, the list of experiences and belief systems that we identify with as the self are also based on how we are told who we are by our parents and identities determined by historical labels given to us by our family, piers and self and relationship based perception of identity.
its a very big list of potentially false narratives.
More often than not, these ideas of self are not serving us and are actually getting in the way of us experiencing life to the fullest.

What defines you?
I believe this meme is about spiritual ego and not psycological non spiritual ego.
But these memes are always down to individual interpretation and this is often why I dont write anything with the posts I share.
I believe its not about Freuds interpretation of ego per se.
