Oftentimes when people think about preparing for retirement, they think of money. However, a recent Northwestern Mutual study discovered that many retirees experience a “purpose-plummet” once they reach retirement. We’re happy to announce, that today we’ve added another key player to the Dream Team! - Welcome Sarah Lafoon, our new Insurance Operations Associate.

Sarah is a Richmond, Virginia local. She is joining us from the Northwestern Mutual Richmond Sales Ex*****on Team. Before starting her career with Northwestern, Sarah led the charge for several years in veterinary office administration and customer support.
Once joining NM in the spring of 2022, Sarah’s self-assured and positive nature made an impact on her coworkers and the office. That paired with her drive to excel in her work allowed her to move up quickly in her position. Within her first year, Sarah was promoted to SET Team Lead and Client Relations Coordinator.
Besides her dedication to supporting the OWM team and clients, Sarah is eager to travel and spend time with her loved ones. If she is not with friends catching a concert at a nearby venue, she can be found at home cooking and hosting. Otherwise, she may be cozied up binging shows and movies with her dog Bella and boyfriend Brian.

Hayley is from Superior, WI. She recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with two B.S. degrees in Mathematics and in Business: Finance. She started her career with Northwestern Mutual as a college intern. In this space, she was able to grow both personally and professionally. She developed conviction around the company along with a passion to help others financially. She recently relocated to Richmond, VA where she has started her role as a Financial Planning Associate for Occident Wealth Management. Hayley is looking forward to continuing to grow into this new role and develop herself both personally and professionally. Personally, she has a strong desire to travel and learn new things. In her free time, Hayley enjoys photography, spending time with her fiancé, Justin, and her fur baby, Freya.

With draft day approaching, it was only right that we picked up another important player for our team - Welcome Victoria Fischetto, our new Investment Operations Associate!🎉

Victoria was raised in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey, a small town located a few miles outside of NYC. Victoria attended Monmouth College in West Long Branch, New Jersey studying Psychology. She began working within the financial industry at a boutique investment banking firm, then for Ernst & Young Consulting in New York City. Prior to joining Occident Wealth Management, Victoria worked in Omaha for Weitz Investment Management, where she excelled in building investor relations, assisting direct clients with their accounts.
