Whenever I think of , I always hear U.N.I.T.Y! There is no other place where you can go and receive the resources, tools, and access to the biggest names across dozens of industries, collaboration, and camaraderie in Chicago. I truly enjoyed myself. Kudos to and for another dope weekend!

Last night during JAY-Z acceptance speech, the thing that resonated the most with me was “Just keep showing up. You got to keep showing up until they give you all those accolades you feel you deserve. Until they call you chairman, until they call you a genuis, until they call you the greatest of all time. You feel me?"

Every day consistently giving 100%, that includes getting the processes, the people, the purpose in place. That includes seeking out viable and proven mentors, coaches, and consultants. That includes being in the room with major players and speaking up.

If the last 31 days are indicative of what 2024 will be like, I am excited for the journey. Here's a January Recap:

1. Conducted a financial assessment for 5 families. I was able to get them pre-approved and start setting them up for retirement through real estate acquisition.

2. Have 2 new listings coming to market soon!!

3. Moving to Keller Williams OneChicago was definitely the best decision I could have made, within 2 weeks I have my full time transaction coordinator and showing assistants set up. I have taken a total of 77 classes related to commercial real estate. I have 1:1 mentorship with commercial agent extraodinaire, Tony Hardy. No gatekeeping, just resources! It has already greatly impacted my business. - For my clients this means seamless process, more resources, and access to more information

4. Facilitated an impactful youth shut in at New Beginning Full Gospel Ministries - The Judah House. We birthed a youth praise team, and a group of young people on fire to participate in ministry. They are also on fire in our group text - did yall know teenagers talk alot 🫣🤭🤣🙃

5. Made some huge strides within Sip & Savor to up the customer service and operations! Get ready for the

6. I embarked on a 21 day fast that fed my mind, body, and soul. There is power in prayer and fasting. Realigning with God's purpose and mission for our lives, opens up so much creativity and peace. Doesn't make it all easy, but definitely makes it all worth it.

7. I watched God do miracles in so many people's lives, healing and restoring health!!! People that weren't supposed to make it, are here to testify to His power!!

8. I relaxed when needed! I've learned to not take it all on in a day. I set boundaries and timelines and met all of them!

*** LONG POST ALERT***

2023 had so much excitement and expectation surrounding it going in. I started the year off with my SMART goals, my profit plan, my work out plan, my ministry plan, my parenting plan, and my investment plan. And the first 2 quarters I exceeded every plan: took my managing broker's class and passed, made almost 40k more than my goal, lost 15 pounds and got stronger, meeting/talking consistently with my teachers and young people, saving 45% of income and reinvesting. It was truly my Jordan year and God was showing out!

And then I lost my grandmother, and it felt like all the wind was knocked out of me, but I didn't want to crumble like I had with my grandfather. I didn't want to shut down, so I worked even more, took on even more responsibility. On the outside I appeared to have it altogether, but inside I was cracking little by little, day by day.

Going outside or talking on the phone made my feel miserable. I started to feel anxiety when I was around people, because I wondered if they could see that I was broken, beaten down, defeated, and depleted. I didn't want to be asked about how I was feeling, because I might cry. By the middle of 3rd Quarter I wasn't leaving the house for 4-6 days at a time. Thank God for my village for taking Lailani to school and picking her up. Every day I would tell myself, this is the day I shake this feeling of being suffocated off. This was the day I would stop feeling this heaviness. But, as days turned into weeks, and weeks into months the feeling didn't leave.

Mid September I made the decision to stop everything and just rest, but not like sleep. I wanted to rest in GOD. This was something I had never felt, and so I had to do things i had never done. I fasted for 60 days, I cried, I prayed, I slept, I was quiet. Nothing changed immediately. I still felt like I was physically suffocating, but I just went harder with it...... until something shifted it, until I saw my holes, my heartbreak, where there was still healing that needed to be done. And I set out to do the work, but this time in a sustainable way.

I had to uncover the guilt, shame, and disappointment I carried for mistakes made as a young person. I had to uncover the guilt I felt for prioritizing business and money over moments with family, thinking I had more time to spend. I had to uncover the anger and hurt I felt for choosing the wrong men. I had to uncover the guilt I felt for not always being present with Lailani. I have fought so hard to not be ruled by my emotions, that I had learned to block them out. The problem is that you can't get rid of emotions, and we shouldn't want to. They are going to come out one way or another. But, who wants to constantly live in war with oneself. Not me! So, I needed to figure out how to be at peace with my feelings and thoughts, with my purpose and play, with my own burdens to carry, and when I needed to lay it down and allow others to carry their own stuff. I had become a bag lady.

So for the past 3 months I have been off the grid, for the most part, making my mental, emotional, spiritual health and family my priority. It has not been easy because I actually love working, solving problems, and being impactful. I love people! SN: If I missed your calls or events during this time, it wasn't personal to you. I needed to realign to walk in my purpose. I needed to take time away so I could show up authentically. I needed to get whole, and that meant acknowledging the good, bad, and ugly. That meant acknowledging where I have been wrong and where I have been right.

The picture you see above (taken by the greatest Milli Frick) is of a woman that has overcome abuse, death, lack, insecurity, guilt, shame, disappointments, and so much more! This picture represents what life after the storm looks like. I am excited for what's ahead with these new tools in my toolbox. The evolution and elevation is not over! It's only just beginning! Over the next few days I will take the opportunity to thank some of the people who were vital to this transition into this next chapter.

Today, I just want to thank Jesus!! I almost lost my mind, but His grace, His mercy, His purpose has sustained me. He's a keeper! He's faithful! He's a provider! He careth for me! He covers me! He favors me! This was not an easy post to write, and wrestled with if I should, but transparency brings liberty not just to the speaker, but to the hearer. So, I pray this blesses someone.

Long Post:

On October 21, 2023 I checked my accounts and realized I had almost $10,000 in funds taken from my account. I reached out to my bank to dispute the charges, they informed me 3 of my 6 accounts were hacked and we would need to close the account. The accounts could not be closed, until the funds were returned which would take 7-10 business days. I was angry of course, but knowing the funds would be returned, I didn't allow it to ruin my day. 2 days later a check for almost $500,000.00 was written against my business account. Causing my account to go into the negative. I once again reached out to my bank, and they said not to worry they would reverse it. Within 5 days $6000 was returned to me. It has been almost 2 months now and I have yet to receive the remaining funds. I have called Third Bank once a week for the last 3 weeks requesting an update, and consistently being told it is under investigation. Today, I was told the funds cannot be returned because it was done via ACH and check on a business account. The vendor is PointsBets and Paypal Crypto, neither of which have I ever heard of. One of my personal accounts that was hacked, had charges from PointsBet and it was returned. Can anyone let me know what steps I can take? In total this is $50k+. This is not something, I can just move on from

Since the day I knew you were coming, my world changed. I was going to fulfill every dream, just so you would know you could fulfill yours. I would protect you from any and all hurt because you deserved nothing but goodness. I would expose you to every resource and person that would broaden your mindset. You give my life meaning, this year I was reminded that nothing I try to accomplish in your name means anything if I can't be present with you. As you enter this new chapter, I'll be there as I always have, pushing you to greatness, reminding you of who you are and whose you are. Life hasn't always been easy for you losing so many people so young but we will navigate through it all and come out better! I love you with all my heart!!!
