I’ve spent that last year-ish working on getting really skilled at making a whipped tallow lotion (balm). I’m much more confident in my product and ready to share with my friends! Eventually I’ll have someone help me make prettier labels, but for now, I’m more excited for you to try it!

If you’re wondering why I am so excited to share this with you - here’s my story. Everyone in the Midwest knows how hard our winters are on our skin. And if you have sensitive skin, it’s almost impossible to keep any irritation at bay. In an effort to live a more natural and unprocessed lifestyle, I’ve been researching ways to help with the dry skin and the eczema my family gets.

One option that jumped out at me was making my own Whipped Tallow lotion. “Because it is so similar to our own skin cells, tallow is the perfect moisturizer and healer for skin.” This idea really intrigued me!

According to one of the websites I visited:
“Tallow balm works incredibly for routine moisturizing. But it is even more amazing when used to soothe a variety of skin issues. Eczema, acne, rashes, itchy skin, and burns are no match for tallow balm’s wonderful soothing and healing properties.

The natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties make tallow balm wonderful for soothing and healing acne as well.

Scars and stretch marks are other things that happen from time to time. Tallow balm helps immensely to fade them, and to soothe and repair skin.

Because of all these nutrients, and the way that tallow is so compatible with our skin, tallow balm is the absolute best skin moisturizer ever.”

A year ago, the thought of rubbing beef fat into my skin seemed completely crazy, but IT WORKS! There’s really no beef smell remaining after rendering it. After using it on my face regularly, my acne scars are significantly lighter and the eczema that Jacob deals with has been 99% healed! Any weird skin issues, we use a little tallow and it’s gone. Sunburns haven’t peeled as bad as they used to. This stuff is truly amazing!

After lots of trial and error, lots of testing new recipes, I now have whipped tallow available for purchase. $13/jar or 2 for $25.

Wedding weekend!!
Didn’t get a chance to see the bride or bridesmaids so I’m hoping to get some pictures sent to me. Loved all the color!!! ❤️

It’s been a while since I’ve posted wedding pictures, but loved that this wedding had lots of bright happy summer colors and had to share! Best part was that my husband also officiated the wedding- we’re becoming a full service package!! Congratulations Kate & Garrett!!!

Our last wedding for 2022 is in the books! A beautiful venue (Hi-Point Steakhouse) and a beautiful couple! Loved working with the copper arch and pulling that copper color through in little pops. Stunning!!!

So much fun when we get to do totally “out of the box” wedding flowers. So light and airy, simple and elegant all at once. Absolutely love it!!!

It’s been a crazy busy summer, but in the spirit of “back to school,” I decided I should take that straight to heart. Last night I attended a class called The Modern Bride and learned some very cool new techniques for bouquet making. Can’t wait to use these ideas for future weddings!!! Even got some ideas for High School dances!
