For those who are struggling with grief this morning following the loss of a loved one, know that I care and I am praying for you. Today, choose to look for the “light” that is present in the midst of the darkness that you are experiencing. Some examples of “light” are the joyous memories that you have with your loved one before their transition from this life to the next, things that cause you to be grateful and much more.

Just like that… hour number 3 is finished! 😍

Yesssss! Only 16 pages left to write before I finish this chapter. How exciting!

Whatever you do, don’t give up on yourself and know that you are worthy of keeping the promises that you make to yourself as well. ❤️

What have you done towards your goal so far today?

I am committed to engaging in 3 one hour writing blitz sessions today after breakfast (I made an omelette with sausage links, toast, and hash browns with a cup of strawberry/banana juice).

Mission finish this book is in full effect. Let’s go! 😍

Grandma: “I’m about to go to the hospital. Tresa, bring me something warm to wear.”

Tresa: “Ok, grandma, I’m on my way.”

I grabbed one of my favorite sweaters and a pair of navy blue sweat pants, then rushed to my grandma’s house and gave the items to her.

Grandma: “Oh this is nice! I like this sweater! It’s my favorite color! Thank you. You ain’t getting it back.”

I was shocked! She just swiped my sweater as if she was the fox from the cartoon titled “Dora the Explorer”.

Immediately, we both laughed. I thought she was joking, but when it didn’t return after a few visits, I knew she was serious.

Her last time in the hospital, before she died in 2020, she wore this sweater. I remember crying in my room as I looked at it and thought about our conversation.

Although I would much rather she still be here wearing what became her confiscated favorite sweater, I am glad that she is no longer in pain. Today, I’m finally ready to give it away.

Sometimes, healing looks like being able to let items go. Don’t rush your process as you embark on your healing journey to wholeness.

Today is my birthday. Yes! 😍 I am so grateful for 43 years of life. 😃❤️
