About Ashlee O’Dell of Ember Nutrition and Training

The impact of fueling your body with the right nutrients is undeniable. You gain control of your health, expand your longevity, improve your energy levels, feel less inflammation, maximize performance, and nourish your body from the inside out! I believe the food you eat needs to support radiant health, but it also needs to be satisfying and delicious! I love to cook.. and eat!

I have always been fascinated by how the food we eat impacts the body which is why I became a Registered Dietitian. RDs go through a similar undergraduate training as doctors; we have an understanding of anatomy & physiology, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, and biology. On top of that we master all aspects of nutrition from macronutrient metabolism to culinary skills. We have 4 years minimum of undergraduate education (with Masters Degrees being required by 2024), 1,200 hours of supervised practice (aka real in person hands-on experience), a board exam, and a requirement of 75 hours of continuing education every 5 years to maintain our RD credential.

I have been an athlete and fitness enthusiast my whole life. I expanded my knowledge of training by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer because I know how important it is for clients to have support with their training as well as their nutrition goals. I believe working with a personal trainer is a great way to find out what works and feels best for your body, and it should be fun, creative and rewarding (hello, beautiful muscles)!

When I’m not making tasty, power packed food at home or swinging a kettlebell at the gym, you can likely find me catching some rays at the lake or a few turns up on the mountain, depending on the season.
