[45] From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. [46] About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). Seen on a church sign: "Church should be your excuse for missing everything else." I know it is sometimes difficult to attend every worship service in-person so you can find our service on Facebook at "Sparta Methodist Church" every Sunday live at 10:30AM as well as anytime during the week on video. Also, this Sunday, February 18th at 5 PM we will have a special Lenten Service as we host the Global Methodist Churches of Northwest Missouri and anyone else who who would like to worship with us. Pastor Brad Dush from Fairfax Methodist Church will bring the message. Fellowship will follow. Members of the Sparta Congregation are asked to bring finger foods to be served.
