How SKINNY SKIRTS started…
Sue Pollard started SKINNY SKIRTS™ with a vision for women who were tired of wearing formfitting undergarments under their sexy tight fitted skirts. The greatest thing about SKINNY SKIRTS™ it’s for all sized women who just want to look 10-15 lbs. thinner without dieting and feel confident!
Sue Pollard has been an entrepreneur her entire life from starting her own restaurant at twenty-four and then going on to open three more restaurants. She started her own manufacturing company, wrote a book about her experience with the hit television show “Survivor”, built her own network marketing company “Voluxa” from the ground up, and then went on to build two training platforms, one being “Women Going Pro” to help women all over the world meet their goals! She contracted a deal for a reality show with the NBA, starring Miami Heat super star Alonzo Mourning as the host. Sue’s accomplishments go on and on!
When Sue makes her mind up, there is no stopping her. How SKINNY SKIRTS™ came to be… July 2019, Sue was getting ready to fly to Arizona for a few business meetings… as she was packing for her trip, she was trying on skirt after skirt with ten different form fitting undergarments wondering why hasn’t anyone come up with a skirt that does it all… a switch went off in her head, and she thought that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Off she went to find exactly what it would take to create a skirt that does it all. The first thing she did was to secure the name SKINNY SKIRTS™ and then went hard to work! Sue registered the name SKINNY SKIRTS™, then applied for a provisional patent which is patent pending. Sue had to find a manufacturer that could keep up with the demand, then it was all about finding the perfect material. Sue researched sample after sample until she figured out the perfect material blend, she would use for her SKINNY SKIRTS™. Next was to find someone who could build a phenomenal e-commerce website, a professional photographer and film crew… and the list goes on.

SKINNY SKIRTS™ form fitting skirt, is intended to give a woman a slim and shapely appearance. Creating the prototype pattern, Sue started knocking on doors to find someone who knew exactly how to design patterns. Once she knew she had the right material, Sue started making skirts with a few friends that have been sewing for years. She never had any sewing experience and could barely sew a button on. She had friends and family trying on the skirts to get their opinions and even flew out to Arizona to have a few of her good friends’ model SKINNY SKIRTS™! They all loved it!
But that was just the beginning. Sue knew she had a long road ahead of her. Sue being the perfectionist wanted to be close by the manufacturer so she could pay close attention to skirts being shipped! Sue was adamant SKINNY SKIRTS™ material and manufacturing was MADE IN THE USA! There is so much to starting a business, most people have no idea. That is why Sue pays close attention to details because Sue has learned some of her greatest lessons from her failures!
Branding SKINNY SKIRTS™… Sue, being the owner of many businesses, knew she needed to brand SKINNY SKIRTS™ in a BIG way. Sue knows how important branding your idea is because it will break you or make you!
What separates SKINNY SKIRTS™ from the other skirts is the skirt starts at the bra line and goes to the knee. There is double the material from the bra line to your hips which gives you that comfortable formfitting support.
The material is a high-end spandex/nylon combination that gives you that form fitted undergarment feeling without having to wear a separate form fitted undergarment. This meant the skirt had to have a built-in structure that was comfortable. She researched old fashioned corsets and came up with a perfect support system that stops the skirt from rolling forward.
SKINNY SKIRTS™ has two panels sown together, seams are on the right and left of each hip. There are no zippers,
SKINNY SKIRTS™ is a pull up skirt, with a blind hem.
SKINNY SKIRTS™ is machine washable and can be thrown in the dryer on low heat, taken from the dryer to wear, no ironing required. Once you try on a
