MCD is excited and grateful to work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona on their new Scott & Jennifer Lehman Youth Mentoring Center.

A place where Bigs and Littles can meet to connect, play games, learn new skills, create and explore!

A place where community can come together to support our youth and their parents and families.

A place to dream BIG and give Tucson Youth more opportunities to learn and grow.

Such a fun time with Heather on her Podcast this week talking about my mentors, what inspires me, tips for hiring a designer and how my early childhood led me to the path of Interior Design.
If you're not following Wander & Muse you will experience FOMO!!

Santa Barbara Modern home

Incredibly grateful and honored to be featured in the September issue of Tucson Lifestyle Magazine for the Santa Barbara Modern remodel project.

This is the second complete remodeled home I have had the pleasure of doing for these amazing clients. They purchased the home from zillow photos and waited paitently in Colorado completely trusting my designs and guidance.

This shot is the entry to the closet off the primary bathroom. Arching the entry, not adding a door and creating a vignette with their existing dresser make it open, more functional and beautiful.

Stay tuned for the before and after photos of this incredible home transformation.

Have a Great Summer!

Did you know this year’s color of the year is magenta? Billed a new take on red, it “welcomes anyone and everyone with the same verve for life and rebellious spirit,” according to Pantone.

Pottery can be one of the best sources of inspiration. These stunners are a reminder to introduce some unexpected shapes to keep things interesting!

The glass house at The Ritz needed the perfect piece for the corner windows.

This 7 foot tall Aurora bronze statue by
is that piece!!

My client always teases me when I get goose bumps when something gets installed so today he was waiting for them and sure enough...lol

Another day, another sexy chair. We are using this beauty in an upcoming project.

Many people tend to lean toward light + bright when designing their home. This staircase helps make a case for dark + deep via an earthy color palette and some unexpected curves, seen at this hotel in China, designed by Archetype Design Organization.

Currently loving the look of wall lights / sconces, grouped together for a bit of drama.

Everyone loves a good coffee table book. What’s one you recommend?

Interesting furniture never goes out of style. The craftsmanship on this walnut dresser is beautifully done.

Another day, other photo of some seriously sexy chairs. These are walnut + leather, and while the original artisan is unknown, the design shows similarities with furniture from Liceu de Artes e Oficios.

Do you get inspired on vacation? While this might be an extreme example, there’s nothing quite like soaking up your surroundings and bringing some choice elements into your own home - like this textured tile in Italy’s Amedeo Restaurant.

Loving the layering here. The intricate chest nestled under the clean-lined console table is unexpectedly cool.

The cloud couch (and all its replicas) was the go-to couch of 2022. What do you think is the next “must have” sofa?

Dream. Chairs.

I’m always relating designing to picking out your outfit.

I tell my clients “You would never wear everything in your jewelry box at once, which is why you need one focal point, not 12.”

A lot of clients love so many cool things but there needs to be a balance between simplicity and wow — and usually, I go for one WOW!

Speaking of WOW! This is my cousin Carol Greiwe Jeweler in this photo and the gorgeous earrings she designs. Check her out!!!
