It has been a very long winter! Couple that with a career change and you get just cause for flying under the radar… We are gearing up for an amazing summer of BBQ fun and friends! We are looking forward to helping you scratch that award winning BBQ itch!

The smoke is rolling on tri tips for tonight’s D.U. Banquet! There will be great food from yours truly and Cricket's Catering, coupled with a cash bar hosted by the Trent Volunteer Fire Dept and the whole works sponsored by Dell Rapids Ace Hardware and Rentals, it’s going to be a great night of food, fellowship and prizes!

After wrapping up a great customer appreciation day, we went back to our backyard bbq competition roots. Only change this year was that we judged instead of competing. Great job to everyone that participated at the Tidemann Barn BBQ competition!

Lunch is served at Dell Rapids Ace Hardware and Rentals!! Get over here!

Just wrapped everything up for a little slow cookin nap time… Time for us to get a little rest too! We’ll check on everything in a couple hours.

We are 3 hours into the smoke and all 20 pork butts are coming along nicely!

Unfortunately we won’t be able to defend our title in the beef category this year. However, we will be there once we wrap up at Dell Rapids Ace Hardware and Rentals Customer appreciation day. Tomorrow looks to be a great day for BBQ! If you are able, be sure to head over to the Tidemann Barn for a fun evening!

We are all fueled up for tonight’s cook! We will be bringing some updates as the night progresses. You can taste the final results for yourself tomorrow from 11:00 to 2:00 at your Dell Rapids Ace Hardware and Rentals. The day will be about customer appreciation, so come for some savings and fun!

Robert Bishop has been working hard on the trailer! We’ll be ready for Saturday!!

We don’t have an update on the trailer build tonight. It was just a night to relax with the ole 1,2,3 on the Blackstone griddle. Tomorrow we work again!

Stabilizers and roofline are tacked up! The goal is to have the roof and side awning completed by the end of the weekend.

Things are falling into place and coming together nicely. Robert Bishop is building the trailer out for catering & events! So exciting…this is just the beginning folks 😁
