We would like to recognize Officer Raul Diaz and his K-9 Vino. Always generous with their time, they have conducted many demonstrations educating children and adults about the important role of a K-9 team within our Police Department.
Officer Diaz & Vino recently presented at the 19th Annual Citizens Police Academy in Surfside as well as at the Sunny Isles Beach Residents' Academy, and Florida City Government Week. The demonstrations communicate the intricate procedures of conducting area searches and highlight the different functions a K-9 team executes, such as searching for fi****ms and explosives, criminal apprehension, evidence/article searches and narcotics detection.
