BOCO Student Travelers are kicking off a RADA fundraiser! If you'd like to place an order, you can choose from the following student traveler's personal links, or choose the generic one, in which all proceeds will be split amongst the student travelers. Orders should be placed by the week of 12/11 if you want to receive your items before Christmas! My favorite items are the tomato knife, knife sharpener, cheese ball packets, and the Burger and Fry seasoning!

6/8 was our last day spent exploring. We started off in the Caen Memorial, which was an extremely incredible museum dedicated to WWII. As you walk through the museum, you are taken through the timeline of the war, start to finish. They had videos, photos, artifacts…. Very moving. Next we traveled back to Paris and visited the catacombs. Millions of bones!!! And the stairs we had to climb to get out. Phew! We then drove through town a bit to park the bus for lunch. On the drive, we passed Moulin Rouge! Quite the interesting street this is on. 😆 For lunch, Paddy said “just a 10 min walk”. He didn’t tell us how many stairs we’d have to climb. 🤯🫠 if you’ve seen John Wick 4, it’s the stairs at the end of the movie that he climbs twice. Lol. However, the view at the top was breathtaking, and the meal was delicious. EF Tours

On 6/7 we visited the Normandy region, which was the day after the 79th anniversary of D-Day. This was a very humbling and emotional day that we will forever be grateful to experience. First stop was in Arromanches, which is where an artificial port was created to get materials onshore for the military. Pieces of the port are still visible. Next stop was the American Cemetery. While we were there, they played the Star Spangled Banner and Taps. More than a few tears were shed. Lastly, we made a stop in Omaha Beach. ♥️🤍💙 EF Tours

Paris day 2 - started with a driving tour where we saw the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, and more… a visit to Palace of Versailles including the gardens, dinner at a cute flatbread pizza restaurant, and then a Seine river cruise which was amazing! EF Tours

Left London and went to Paris this morning via Aerostar train. We went under the sea for part of the trip, and it all lasted less than 3 hours. First train trip for most! Once we got there, we drove straight to Atelier Des Lumieres, but walked down the street to have lunch before the exhibit. Cute place and great food. The art exhibit was very cool. Music and moving art flowing over the walls and floor. Afterwards, the bus took us to a different part of the city, next to Notre Dame Cathedral, which is currently under repair from the 2019 fire. We did find our way into the Shakespeare and Company bookstore to buy a meaningful book and get it stamped. From there, we took a stroll and found a place for gelato, sherbet, and macaroons. Of course we had to sample them 😋, and then a crepe 😋. From there we wondered back up by Notre Dame for a few quick snaps, captured an artist doing his work, and then relaxed in the garden. Once it was time to go to dinner, we walked along side the river, being sure to look at the beautiful buildings all around. We caught a few glimpses of the Eiffel Tower on the way. we did get to stop and take a couple quick pics of the Louvre. The largest museum in the world. EF Tours

Our last day in London. We started it off by watching the Changing of the Guard. They surprised us by their band playing songs like Sweet Child of Mine, theme from the Lone Ranger, Momma Mia, and others. Very cool. We left there and walked through St James Park, where we saw a black swan. Next we went across the bridge and rode the London Eye. Views for days! Then we took the subway to dinner, which was fun and a first for most of us. Thank goodness for google maps and directions. We then said goodbye to our wonderful bus driver, Leigh. He really made our rides fun by joking around with the kids. London has been grand!

Another packed day, this time in London. First we did a driving tour to see too many sites to count! Including the a stop at Abbey Road (The Beatles), St Paul’s Cathedral, caught a shooting scene of The Diplomat, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, Westminster Abbey, House of Parliament, and so much more. We even caught a practice of the parade to celebrate the Kings birthday that will occur in 2 weeks, marching toward Buckingham Palace. What an experience!! This parade occurs always in June regardless of when the king’s birthday really is.

The first pic, simply because we found it amusing you have to pay to “use the loo”. We ate lunch at a fun street market, which was delicious. So many options from food all around the world. We then toured Westminster Abbey - highly recommend! It took 500 years to build it, and was started over 1000 years ago. EF Tours

Today we drove to Stratford upon Avon and started with Anne Hathaway’s home place. (Think Shakespeare’s wife, not Devil Wears Prada) very beautiful and interesting, with gorgeous gardens. Next stop was Shakespeare’s birth place. Also beautiful, and gorgeous flowers, as well. Shakespeare’s place was in town, where they also happened to be having a festival. We bought pastries at the market, explored Trinity Church (he’s buried here) and the cemetery, walked along the river, the girls fed the swans 🦢, and then rode the carousel 🎠. Such a charming and walkable town. We ended the day with a drive into London to the hotel for the next 3 days.

Another jam packed day full of adventure. Began with an early morning ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, Wales. Wales is STUNNING. We had another day of great weather, which helps in a country that typically gets so much rain. We hopped on a new bus and made our way to Conwy Castle, a truly epic thing to experience. Lots of great picture opportunities when you walk around the castle and climb the towers to the top! Several of us adults are expecting sore muscles in the morning from climbing circles and circles of stairs…. 😮‍💨🫣🫥We had time for lunch after touring th castle, and there were plenty of great options to choose from. We chose a pizza place that was delicious! A misfortunate flat tire on the bus turned into the best gift ever - an extra hour to xplore the gorgeous town. So quaint and beautiful!!! I’d take happy little accidents like that for the remainder of the trip! But I don’t think Lee, the bus driver, would agree. 😆 once everything was sorted, we were back on the bus for a drive to Birmingham for just one night. Good night! EF Tours

Today was packed full. First we visited St Patrick’s Cathedral (Jonathan Swift is buried here - author of Gulliver’s Travels), did a driving tour of Dublin, then some walking through town, including the Georgian Squares (no pics), a stop at the Little Museum of Dublin, an Irish song and dance show, and it wouldn’t be complete without a stop to see Molly Malone and the Temple Bar! Now early to bed for a very early ferry ride to Wales in the morning! EF Tours

This trip took 4 years in the making due to Covid. Thank you to the community who supported all the fundraisers to help get these kids here!! You help make their dreams come true!

Seemed like a fairly low key 2 days - the first 24 hours spent in airports, and then one day tapping into a little Dublin exploration, however we are all wore out and ready to call it an early night. 8pm here already. 🇺🇸 ✈️ 🇨🇦 ✈️ 🇮🇪 EF Tours

Happy birthday Skylar! Hope you had a fabulous day! 🎈 🧁 🎁

Our Student Travelers thank you...

For the past few years now, members of our local communities have helped support our students through numerous fundraisers and activities to enable their travel around the world. Without your support, the students experiences would have been difficult to bring to fruition, if at all. We want to thank you for all that you have done, and continue to do for our kids.

We plan to use this page to share some of the adventures the kids have had, and plan to have, as well as share upcoming events and fundraisers so that you can stay in touch with all the hard work that goes into creating such a fantastic opportunity.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.❤️
