One of the many highlights from our current renovation.

From old beat up vinyl siding and fogged up aluminum windows to beautiful vented James hardie siding and new energy efficient windows!

Under the siding we have a brand new layer of tyvek house wrap, 1.5” of polyiso insulation with an aluminum radiant barrier that was made effective with 3/4 inch rain screen screwed over every stud.

The insulation added R-9.6 to the home and eliminated all the thermal bridging effectively increasing our existing interior bat insulation. The vented rain screen allows constant airflow behind the siding while keeping all bugs out.

This is the crème of the crop when it comes to exterior cladding. While it took more time to install, the constant air flow under the siding will ensure that any water the gets through will dry out before it cause any problems and keeps the siding much cooler doubling the life time of the paint job which will keep it looking new for many years to come. This homeowner will experience thousands of dollars worth of energy savings for the lifetime of this beautiful home!

In the final stages of wrapping up our lvl 5 finish for our project in Robert. Finally starting to see some tangible progress as all this labor has been done in house, looking forward to laying down some sleek epoxy floors and new windows in the next stage of this build.
