This is why the Washignton Elites fears the progressive movement and a big reason Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been the brunt of so much criticism. If elected I will work to root out curroption in both parties! The time of profiteering off your postion in politics needs to end! Trump is suing CNN for liable. Regardless of your opinion of this news network we should be seeing his frequent attacks on the free press as deeply troubling. With the one year anniversary of the traditional press briefing having just passed (A role Stephanie Grisham gets a tax payer funded salary for) its hard to tell when we stopped demanding press access. How anyone can hear Trumps calls for a state run news network and not see red flags and alarms going off is beyond me. Having sampled some of this "news" on Facebook I can tell you the prospect of government run media in America would be another step towards a facist dystopia. The effectiveness of the nomenclature "Fake News" and its ability to inoculate Trump from even the most damning of press discoveries will likely go down as the best marketing strategies of all times. This matters! You should care regardless of party affiliation.

I hope to embody the ideals that made the Republican party great. The kind of Republican that championed Civil Rights Act. The kind of environmentalist Republican that made the EPA. The kind of Republican that understand that fiscal Responsibility is more than just how much we pay in taxes but the value of what we get with those taxes, I absolutely support Medicare For All for that reason. I was recently asked my thoughts on the Ballad take over and whether this was a federal or state issue. The answer is both.

"The need for Medicare for All has never been more clear. Health care should be a public service. The elimination of the insurance agencies, that have worked hand in hand with hospitals to parcel up the United States, will save trillions of dollars and allow for decisions to be made based on public need over corporate greed. The affordable care act section 1332 allowing state waivers for medicare has deprived this region of billions in federal funds earmarked for Tennessee, that pays alot of doctor and nurses.

The Ballad monopoly is a state issue in the sense that it was sanctioned by TN and VA through COPA. They are not immune from federal antitrust laws but the laws are woefully lacking to combat the level and types of monopolies used by Ballad. The Federal Trade Commission issued a study on the impacts of COPA Oct. of last year. These often end up being litigated in the courts. I am ready to rewrite our antitrust laws for the 21st century. I also cannot emphasize enough how much lobbyists funding goes into influencing these decisions, vote grassroots canidates that will fight for the interest of people and those looking to reform our broken campaign finance law."

The GOP tax plan did nothing to close the loopholes being exploited by profitable Fortune 500 companies. I am aware of multiple loopholes that allow companies to quasi legally hide money overseas to avoid paying taxes. This needs to end to insure the fair competition of large corporation and small/medium businesses.

My whole family came down with Influenza A, H 1 N 1 (swine flu) the end of last year. It was rough and I certainly see how if you weren't healthy or if you were elderly you could die from something like that. This strand of the Cornovirus COVID-19 could be another such seasonal killer. It seems to be on track to be world wide based on the communicability I'm hearing reported from WHO.
These viruses mutate from host to host and can become reinfectious even if you have previously developed antibodies. If this will happen at a rate faster then the infection burns itself out, is an unknow factor. Some viruses run threw the population before they can mutate to reinfect and some become part of flu season, the danger here being from what I am reading this is mimicking a slightly more deadly version of the flu at rates conducive to reinfection. Saying "slightly more deadly than the flu" could be as high as 2% vs the .1% from influenzas. We are already hard at work on a vaccination which is great and will likely reduce these numbers which are already likely inflated from under reporting do to symptoms being easily mistaken for the flu. Having just had a flu that was once one of these "media hyped" pandemics I encourage people to take extra precautions. Wipe down door k***s, sanitize your phones, if you are sick stay home. Our collective action can save people including ourselves from future illness. Don't wait on the government to take action! Encourage your work places to offer hand sanitizing stations and phone wipes these are proven effective at reduce the spread of illness and explain to them that the lost revenue from you being sick is worth a thousand alcohol wipes.

Can I just say how disgusted I am by this double standard. Those sharing private photos should be shamed, media outlits that fuel these stories should be shamed, those in the photos should not be shamed. This is one of the thousands of reasons we need digital privacy laws, people should have recourse in these situations and that is too often not the case. I for one decline to view photos of this nature.

Looking more deeply into the 2017 GOP tax plan we see The standard deduction got a bump that is going to gradually over the next 5 years fade, that's right each year you are going to get less percentage of your income back. People that used itemized deductions can no longee deduct student loans, while people with children got a tax credit. Corporations made out like bandits with a cut from 35% to 21%. Nothing was done to end the tax loopholes that allow them to hide money offshore. Worse yet they were given a back door to return money from overseas at a much lower penalty, again proving crime pays.

I support expanding new tax brackets to those making above 10 million and restoring the corporate tax rate back to 35%. We need to manage our exploding deficit and taxing capital gains as income, higher tax brackets for the ultra wealthy, and closing offshore loopholes are a big part of solving the revenue generating portion of the problem.

Here is a look at what the GOP Tax plan will look like once the standard deduction goes back to normal by 2025. 😤

Governor Lee this may as well be an out right ban and violates the intent of the Roe Vs Wade decision. I worry about the 2 other fetal heart beat bills headed for testing in the newly conservative Supreme Court. Woman have the right to make thier own decision about their bodies. Don't make doctors second guess themselves, don't make woman criminals who may feel they have no choice. You want to lower abortions work to increase the minimum wage in Tennessee, expand access to birth control and Medicare, and expand s*x education. This bill is one of the most stringent back door abortion ban bills proposed yet:

• Prohibiting an abortion where a fetal heartbeat exists;

• Requiring a mother to undergo an ultrasound prior to an abortion;

• Prohibiting an abortion where the physician is aware that the decision to seek an abortion is motivated by the race, s*x, or health or disability diagnosis of the unborn child.

The Equal Rights Amendment should be the 28th Amendment of the constitution. The Supreme Court needs to rule that Tittle VII of the civil rights act includes Gender identity. Discrimination should not be written into our laws. This has the potential to block Transgender bathroom laws and the power to end LGBT adoption discrimination laws. Bill Barr Doesn’t Get to Decide What’s in the Constitution Somebody has to determine whether the ERA is valid or not, and without quite saying so, the Department of Justice is claiming that person is none other than Attorney General Bill Barr.

I implore the Senate to review the facts and question witnesses with some understanding of what has already been revealed. Those in the current administration involved in the call pressuring Zelensky to open an investigation into one of Trump's political opponents by implying military aid be contingent on the investigation must be called to question. The call being placed in a clearance level server should be seen as signs of a cover up, those involved should be brought to testify.

Those staffers involved in the 2016 election including Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Michael Cohen, and George Nader should all be called to testify about their roles with Russian oligarchs and Russian operatives. Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump and Jarred Kushner should also be questioned about their involvement with Russian operatives Natalia Veselnitskaya and WikiLeaks as well as construction of Trump Tower Moscow. The confession of convicted Russian spy Maria Butinia (Released from prison now free in Russia hosting a TV show on the Kremlin propaganda network RT) should be read into record. The Senate must reverse the IRS's new policy that allows politically active nonprofits to hide their donors and demand the financial disclosures from donors to the NRA who have admitted they received more money from Russia then they disclosed but refused to disclose the actual number. The Senate must be authorized to review the full scope of grand jury material and the unredacted Mueller Report as it is now relevant to an on going trial against the President and as of today no one you should trust has had access to the full unredacted report. Trump's taxes should be reviewed by the Senate and it should be made clear the extent at which the major players involved went to blocking due process including staff defying subpoenas. The extent Deutsche Bank played in covering up Trump's actions including deleting of records and ignoring and disabling automated reporting for multiple red flags triggered by Trump and the Trump family's business dealings.

The report provided to the Senate on the extent of Russian interference through the IRA and the details in the Mueller report about coordination of key Trump staffers providing polling most be explored with the full scope of the report at there disposal. There is a dollar amount that can be placed on the amount of interactions this coordinated effort to influence our election generated, that amount should be calculated (how much is 76.5 million interactions worth and that is just Facebook). There are people in prison right now for what Trump ordered them to do. He lied about Trump Tower Moscow which is made more incriminating when it is clear there was serious discussions of giving the 50 million dollar penthouse to Putin. The Trump Tower meeting to get dirt on an opponent, that congressional testimony has confirmed The president knew about and instructed his son to lie to congress about, shows a clear pathology of a liar with long standing interest in courting the Kremlin. This makes his pro Russia actions more than troubling and his exit from Syria (to the direct benefit of Russia) carried out despite objections from senior officials in the Pentagon (to the point where General Mattis felt he had to resign) and condemnation from the congress (both House and Senate... even Mitch McConnell).

With all of this in mind Trump's actions must be called into question regarding his firing of FBI director James Comey which Trump admitted relieved great pressure from the Russia investigation. His actions at Helsinki must also be scrutinized with similar hindsight and his complete appeasement to Putin. His direct contradiction of four intelligence agencies that confirmed Russia's involvement in election interference should be condemned in no uncertain terms. Russia targeted voting machines in all 50 States. As of today our most vulnerable systems have not been audited. The Senate must authorize an audit. I believe the evidence warrants removal from office.

I have great respect for those who serve in the armed forces. Anyone willing to risk there lives to defend this country and its ideals should be commended. I am proud to announce two pieces of legislation to honor those who would choose to serve.

My Service Guarantees Citizenship Act which would allow those immigrants in military service to be accepted as naturalized citizens. Those willing to fight and die for our country should be recognized as patriots and welcomed.

Discrimination should not be tolerated in the work place as such I am happy to declare intentions of passing legislation to end policies targeting transgender soldiers. My Military Acceptance Act will reverse unjust policy unfairly barring service members from defending our country.

As someone that lived through the foster care system the type of discrimination that lets children go unadopted is an issue I take deeply to heart. The options should not be straight parents or no parents. Discrimination needs to end. If elected, within the first 90 days I will introduce my Get Kids Adopted Act! This bill will end discrimination at a federal level for all adoption agencies.

First up in Tennessee Senate: Bill allowing adoption agencies to deny same-s*x couples Lt. Gov. Randy McNally is opposed to the legislation because "Tennessee already has broad protection for religious freedom..."

I can think of no better person to honor than Mrs. Parton, who just last year had given away over 100,000,000 books. Her kindness and generosity are exactly the kind of thing Tennessee should memorialize.

It's seems like only yesterday I was campaigning with him for his first Mayoral run. He was an amazing mentor and a man I respect and admire.

The collection of our data in a massive scale into a database compiled, mined from our social media profiles without our permission to more effectively analyze the best approaches to effect your vote. I wish I could say that assessment is alarmist but the extent of our vulnerability cannot be overstated.

Our data is not safe and those with the authority to do something about it either don't understand it enough to make laws to protect it or understand it just enough to know how its vulnerability benefits them. Our politicians are never forward thinking, like virus definitions on a computer they only exist to counter problems that are already happening. Well let me be clear this is already a full blown crisis. We need politicians capable of adapting to the rapidly changing environment of the 21st century infowar. Nothing has been done to combat what happened and is continuing to happen!

We are in the midst of the greatest leaps in our technology and with that comes an enormous amount of legislation that has not been written. I am prepared bringing up issues that our generation will have to face and deal with as we see automation and data privacy making the news more and more each day.

I was reading about the recent changes to H**p regulations put forth by the USDA. It seems they are trying to push small farmers out of the market. Farmers who invested everything they had in grow operation may not have products that will pass these new restrictions. Based on new testing requirements that total THC levels be bellow .5% and .3% delta-9. This means people with crops in the ground may now have plants the federal government has now ruled as ma*****na and not h**p.

"Another problem, which makes the passing of this test impossible, is that farmers will be required to test their crops by the state 15 days prior to harvest, by sending the top 2 inches of their flower buds (where CBD and THC concentrations are highest)"

Farmers may lose their crops, their livelihoods, and even their freedom as some may find what they are growing suddenly labeled a scheduled one narcotic. The new regulations also include an excepted $1000 in licensing and testing fees. This cuts into profits and deters small farmers.

We need to remove cannabis from the controlled substances list, Allow those in prison to appeal their cases, and Expunge records. Until then our regulations should not hurt farmers and their families.
