Good morning! I decided today that I would start the Master Cleanser that I discussed over the weekend in my seminar “Cleanse, Build, & Balance”. This is a great way to detoxify the body and allow the digestive system a much needed rest so the body can focus clearing debris that it didn’t have the time to get to between meals. This will go for 10 days! I’m not looking to drop a ton of weight (although that would be great) but more just facilitating all the metabolic processes that occur which will, in turn, reduce fat and stored waste. After all the stress this week of putting together an amazing seminar on cleansing/fasting to heal using herbs and food, I woke up with a bit of a headache. So with the leftover celery (can’t believe no one else ate it) and carrots, I made myself some fresh juice! All the electrolytes and mineral salts found in celery should kick this headache right out along with the vitamins in the carrots. I added a lemon to help with nutrient absorption digestion. Time to take my new bike out for a spin and get some fresh air and sunshine!! Happy Sunday morning!

Yummy Hibiscus tea lemonade! 😋
This is a heart healthy, delicious drink that is easy to make!
Hibiscus can low blood pressure as it is a diuretic and can lower LDL cholesterol it is full of antioxidants which help in so many ways ranging from supporting the liver to reducing tumor growth and cancer. It is an anti inflammatory! The flavonoids found in hibiscus can help the nervous system with anxiety and depression and can help you sleep better at night. Hibiscus can also hinder the production on amylase which is used to convert carbohydrates into fat. This makes it a great addition to a healthy weight loss program!
Lemon has a lot of the same benefits such as supports the liver, aids weight loss, is good for the heart and can reduce the risk of cancer. Plus it is a great way to tone your digestive track meaning it can help you digest the food you eat! This also helps to boost your metabolism!
Hibiscus tea lemonade recipe:
4 cups boiling water
4 tbsp dried hibiscus petals (or 4 tea bags)
4 lemons (juiced)
4 tbsp grade A dark robust maple syrup
Steep 4 tbsp dried hibiscus petals in 4 cups boiling water for at least 10 minutes (not while on heat). Allow to cool to room temperature. Add lemon juice and maple syrup. Stir to combine. Chill in refrigerator for at least an hour. Serve cold.
Know where your food comes from. The company, Monsanto, was purchased by Bayer and they’ve removed the name Monsanto after they lost the court case proving glyphosate is toxic to humans. You should be aware that this company has dealings with many food companies. The company that is ok with poisoning your food as a pesticide also can drop their chemicals in other food products. Vote with your dollar! Buy real food, buy organic food, and buy local to show these big companies that we don’t want their toxins.
