One of our favorite things. Playing music for our friends at Aldersgate United Methodist for their Friendship Luncheon.
We had a great time at Prince Michel. Wonderful crowd, Steve did us all proud.

Mercy Trail would like to give a big Thank you for making 2023 a great year. Without great family, friends & followers. We would have no motivation to play music. We always want to deliver music that is uplifting, fun and makes your day and life a little brighter. This Thanksgiving season we have much to be thankful for. Steve is sporting a brand new knee and getting closer by the minute to being back playing the bass for Mercy Trail. Playing solo events for the past month & a half has been challenging. We certainly hope & pray your Thanksgiving celebration will be your best ever.
We give God thanks for all these blessings.

Mercy Trail won't be playing this weekend. Instead we'll be watching and listening to a Keith Whitley tribute show. Keith Whitley was an amazing voice. First in Bluegrass then briefly in Country music where he left a mark that is still influencing and impressing traditional Country music fans as well as folks that don't normally dial in the Country Stations.

I would like to sincerely thank all of the family, friends & followers of Mercy Trail music for your kind thoughts and condolences for recent loss of my father-n-law. He was a special man who loved God and loved sharing his faith with literally everyone he met. My dad died earlier this year and was of the same motivation. They were great friends and tried to follow the great commission of our Savior Jesus even till their last days. I have been blessed to have such Godly men to influence my life. I pray that one day that can be said of me.
Again thank you all for your sweet kindness during these days of loss.

Several(not sure how many) of the remaining events will be without Steve as he has a knee replacement scheduled for early October. **

September 20,2023 marks 50 years ago that we lost Jim Croce. I was a 14 year old boy laying in my bed listening to the radio when the News broke reporting that about the plane crash that took the lives of Jim Croce and his music partner Maury Mulheisen.
He was my music hero and I was devastated. To this day I try to honor his memory by playing his music in our events just the way I remember him doing them.

What a wonderful weekend we had. Friday a celebration of marriage & Saturday the 5 hours of music we played for the Liberty Mills Sunflower Festival. A wonderful crowd of people made it out to enjoy a Saturday on the farm. Thanks Evie, Kelly and the gang for all you do each year to make the day incredible!
We had a great evening playing music for the Shelors pre-wedding celebration in Waynesboro last evening. A wonderful Family & friend gathering. You all know how to celebrate!

Delivering classic songs from our past as they were when the original artist brought them to us is our goal. We honor and respect our musical heroes by doing their music the way they did it. Our volume is always in compliance with the desires of the venue we are privileged to be playing. Our presentation and dress are respectful and modest.
Our music includes great hits by Eagles, Black-Hawk, Restless Heart, Beatles, America, Doobie Brothers, acoustic performers such as James Taylor, Jim Croce, Michael Card, Bread, John Denver, Bluegrass, Country, Southern Rock, and Folk performers. Besides popular favorites from our musical past, we also play and sing some original songs. However, because listeners typically engage better with music, they are familiar with, a typical Mercy Trail performance would include 95% classic/popular (familiar to you) and 5% original music. We know what folks like and play to our audience. We use self-produced backing tracks for vocals at times and also use the electronic Beat Buddy foot-pedal drums to add to our sound.
We often do patriotic tribute music to honor our Country, our service men & woman and of course our Veterans.
We are available for church programs, weddings, private parties, coffee houses, restaurants, wineries, brewery’s etc.
