Au-Some Dreyden
The purpose of the page is to document my sons journey through the autism spectrum and to share ideas with other parents with children on the spectrum.
Had a small bond fire last night. I was trying to convince Dreyden to try a s’more but no success.
Trying to teach Dreyden to say how old he is
Say Cheese! (Let's Take a Picture)

Dreyden wishes you a Happy Thanksgiving!
(Sorry for the late post)
Looking into my son eyes, all I see is a happy little boy who doesn't think he has special needs and that's how it should be.
⚠️AUTISTIC CHILD AREA⚠️
For some of us don't like what the sign says because we think they could have done better to project it, however, for many of us those 3 words mean everything as parents of a child with autism! Perhaps this sign will not stop the one who drives recklessly, but will keep the whole community aware that a child with this condition lives on that street and if at any time they are out of the reach of their parents, they will know how to help.
As parents of a child with special needs it is our responsibility to do the best we can with what we have available, to keep them safer. Sometimes it feels like it's not enough but I think doing nothing is not an option.

Life on the spectrum can be quite exhausting, but it is essential to exhaust every drop of energy focused on what they need to achieve great victories, cheer up you can do it!
Update how Dreyden is doing:
The school transition was good ✅
But the process is bittersweet for Dreyden. He feels a strong need for mom to walk him to class. is a great challenge for him. At his new school, this is not allowed. He has to walk to his classroom by himself, which confuses him, and he cries as he walks to class, he's still processing the detachment from this great need he feels for mom to be there, but now he can't figure it out. but mom will always be there even if he doesn't see me present 💕
I know it will take a while, but my hope is that soon he will do better 🥰 keep trying my boy 🫡
Happy beginning of classes! Dreyden this year will be attending classes at the same school as his sister, yesterday he was a bit frustrated and insecure but at the end of the day he handled it very well, today his second day he handled it much better calmly and obediently went to his classroom no tears, it was a great transition we are very proud of him.
Dreyden is lately more involved in daily responsibilities and he learns to handle it more each day. We grow together! We are proud of how he performs, because a year ago, we
couldn't even get him out of the shopping cart, because he ran away now he stays right next to us and helps us with the shopping.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😎
One more adventure completed ✅ It was a stage that began full of challenges and fears, but with the right people who were the element that made this journey possible! Thank you to the wonderful teachers: Beam, Bianca, Roxanne, Donna, Kelly, Kari, Bombien, as well as the entire ABA team, who in one way or another were part of this success. 4K done ✅
