I just love this little corner of my weaving studio… and I know I am certainly no interior designer- I filled it mostly of thrifted items, art from myself or other artists I’ve gotten to know, and cherished family pieces… looking at this while weaving certainly makes my heart happy and my mind inspired. I realize I’ve been away from weaving a bit too long. My hands are itching to work the loom. 🤍✨
I think yarn turns out more true to its ✨nature✨ when it’s spun with a bit of fresh air and sunlight. ✨🤍 🧶
We had a bit of a fun day out visiting the 🌿 The highlight was reconnecting with some good friends and fellow fiber farmers and , which I met for the first time nearly six years ago at this very fair! At the time I was just at the beginning of my farm journey, but even today I’m still so inspired by these lovely folks. 💚.creek.farm and also had a lovely booth and gorgeous yarns (though I regretfully missed getting a photo). I’m so glad to get to know so many wonderful farmers and artisans over the years.
I think I may have a problem. ✨🤍
Rainy days in the studio are my favorite. 🤍✨
A fun little throwback to a spring of the past, to help me get through these grey and stormy doldrums of the present.. 🌾🤍
So I’ve realized too late that yesterday was Pi(e) day…. but, this pie always tastes even better the next day anyway. Plus it tastes like ✨summer time✨ which I sorely need after yet another below freezing “spring” morning. 😌 Find this delicious (and simple) recipe on my farm blog at the link in my bio!
Get you a girl who can do both 😜✌🏻🐓
The surest sign of spring can be found snuggled within the hay. 🐣🥰
Reposted from .yarn.pharm 🌻 Look at this absolutely gorgeous scarf .yarn.pharm knitted using some of my naturally dyed yarn (indigo + osage)! 💙💚💛 They seriously inspired me, and the model is perfectly adorable, too! Thank you so much for sharing! ✨
Spring! 🌞🌸🌿🌼
Don’t forget to include natural dye plants in your spring garden plans. Rare dye seed packs are now in stock. 🌸🌿
It was a beautiful day to take a stroll (and a spin). I had a lot of fun dressing up to match the architecture. Happy November! 🧶✨🍁
One thing I hear a lot is hand spun or farm raised yarn costs more.
There was something about that sky tonight…. 🍁🌄✨
