Sold half my flock this winter.. hoping to keep it down to 30 chickens, 50 was getting a little to much... still rolling in the golden nuggets!

After getting home from work this morning just to sleep through my alarm to get up for church so instead I woke up at 1030 I went and purchased more hay for our hay barn and staked that... then as my oldest and husband go set treestands for youth weekend next weekend I did some cleaning... my youngest help the best he could but we got 3 out of the 7 pens done for today.. we will do the other Wednesday when my oldest has early release to help me watch the runaways lol... Enjoying the sun today!!!

Ok we are doing pig again..after taking a break for 5 years due to increase of prices..

Yummy only a few harvest and my fresh veggies will be done for the year.... hoping to get a few squashes canned but we have been using them more then ever thisbyear!!! I thank God for providing me with this weekly!!!

It makes.me cry watching these other " homestead and farms" DESPUR their rooster... you are causing great pain, chickens show pain in silence. You are taking g off the sheath and leaving the quick exposed which can then collect bacteria and cause an infection.... please use science and morals when dealing with your livestock care not what is best for you.... a trim down with a dull square top is all they need to keep your girls happy.... chicken tender of 12 year and NO rooster injuries besides pulled feathers....... Please STOP THIS TORMENT..
