With early voting complete and election day coming up tomorrow morning, I want to emphasize the change we need on county commission. We need elected officials who are willing to take a stand against extravagant spending projects and tax hikes and who are accessible to their constituents and push for transparency.

If you want someone you won't hear from over the next 4 years, I might not be your guy; but if you want someone for district 12 who will stand and push for meaningful change, please cast your vote for me tomorrow!

We cannot wait another 4 years for this change. Let's make it happen now!

With only a few days left of early voting and just over a week til election day, I hopento see more people come out to vote. As your next county commissioner for district 12, I will continue to be engaged with residents throughout my term, not just when the next election season comes around. I want to make sure you know what is going on in your local government, even if you cannot attend the meetings. I want to protect your property rights by standing against wasteful spending and tax increases. You can count on me to do these things if I'm elected. Can I count on you to come vote for me?

Early voting today in Clarksville so I am out supporting Joey Dasinger for County Commission

Tennessee still has dry counties, increasing property taxes, failed drug laws and excessive homeschool laws. We should never allow the errosion of liberty to take root in our lives.

Early voting continues today through 7pm at the Election Commission on Pageant Lane. If you're in District 12, I hope you will vote for me to be your next county commissioner!

Recently, Clarksville Now sent out a questionnaire for candidates who did not have the opportunity to participate in forums. Regretfully, I did not complete the questionnaire in time to submit it to be published. I will, however, attempt to answer the questions here.

In 100 words or less, what is your stand on getting our community caught up on school construction funding?

While school construction is an apparent necessity, the county has raised the wheel tax a few times in the past few years. This is a burden on many citizens that I would had opposed if I had been on county commission. I would like to see more focus on how we can encourage virtual or hybrid methods of learning in order to lighten the stress on building capacity.



In 100 words or less, other than schools, what Montgomery County agencies/departments are most in need of better funding and support?

What I have been hoping to see over the past few years is the funding for the north library branch, which was finally approved this year. This will be important for residents of north Clarksville who will no longer have to travel as much as 30 minutes to get to the current location, once the new location is finished.



In 100 words or less, what’s your definition of bad growth, as opposed to smart growth?

I believe growth should be in line with what the market demands. While infrastructure is definitely a necessary factor, we cannot restrict the building of homes to the detriment of people moving here. When we have people living in hotels in town because there is not enough attainable housing, I would consider that to be bad growth.

Thanks to my friend Councilwoman Ambar Marquis for her endorsement of my campaign for County Commission! We've both been working hard to earn support of voters here, and I fully back her bid for school board as well!

The election commission has released the early voting schedule for the August 4th election. Note that there are 2 locations for early voting this time. The deadline to register to vote in this election is July 5th!

I stopped by the Juneteenth Block Party this afternoon to share in the celebration of freedom! This was a great gathering, and you better believe there was good food!

Had a good morning dropping campaign literature with Ambar Marquis for School Board. We had a nice breeze and didn't get rained on!

Had the pleasure of meeting some constituents at Jeff Burkhart's BBQ event at the airport. I hope to take their pleas of lower taxes on to the county commission in a few months. If you're in District 12 and want lower taxes, responsible spending, and more transparency in local government, please vote for me in the August election!

As I walked the streets of a neighborhood, I could hear a few families celebrating their graduates. Congrats to all those who graduated this week!

Spent the afternoon walking door to door passing out flyers for the meet and greet event. Hope to have a good turnout on Tuesday!

Today is the last day for early voting for the County Primary. To participate in early voting, go to the Election Commission, located at 350 Pageant Lane, today through Thursday between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Voting Day for the County Primary will take place on May 3 in the precinct designated on each voter’s new voter registration card.
