Thank you all for your support and your votes! I received a text that reminded me that “your win was unexpected as you had no support and no money.” My reply is “hard work and prayer beats hard money every time.” Institutions and signs don’t vote, people do. My objective during this election was to shake as many hands and have a personal contact with as many voters as possible: making new friends in new places. Whether it was on the L train, in church, at a library, or a family basement, I showed up and shook hands. Voters might forget the mailer, but will never forget the personal touch. A true Democrat knows that no vote is more important than another. EVERY VOTE COUNTS!
