Stripping topsoil! Starting the site work for a 15 acre, 43 unit housing development. This project will consist of 3 phases for the underground utilities but the mass excavation will all take place in phase one! We enjoy these residential projects. It’s a change of pace from the commercial and municipality work!

Iron keeps getting larger around here!
Township road box culvert installation we completed today. Replacing an undersized steel pipe with a concrete structure sized to handle 100 year flood projections.
Tapped a 12” water main today with 8” and 2” saddles. Water main was deeper than anticipated, dirt was junk, had to tunnel a sewer line, and the trench was wet. Just another day👍🏼. Good job, guys!
The service truck got a nice face lift.
The guys knocked out this half acre pond last week while we had a few dry days! This project was a bit more difficult than most ponds. Due to the sand and gravel spots we undercut the banks and bottom 2’. Then brought in, lined, and compacted the banks and bottom with good clay to seal the pond. This pond should have no problem holding water now!
Today we got to work with a stabilization company from Columbus. Last week, our roadway at the Lakeview project failed a proof roll. The 2 options given were: 1. Undercut the road, place geogrid, and fill back with stone. Or, 2. Stabilize the road using cement. The more economical solution was to bring in a stabilization company to till up the road and mix cement into the road base in order to strengthen it. Mount Carmel Stabilization was able to knock out all 2500 ft of roadway today with our guys working closely behind them to regrade the road as they went. Great job, guys!
We were able to wrap up a small waterway project this morning before it rains this weekend. Whether it’s a small or large scale project, our guys do high quality work for all of our customers. We appreciate our guys for coming in on a Saturday morning to wrap this one up.
Busy Monday for the crew in Lakeview. We are working on a project at Lakeview Meadows, adding another 59 sites to the park. Today we had a crew laying sanitary sewer main and another crew laying topsoil on the lots that had been shaped in prior weeks. A lot of work to get done so we can get the roads paved before the asphalt plants shut down in mid-November. I appreciate our guys’ hard work and long hours that they have been putting in!
