This year’s bell schedules will change for many students as we standardize the day for additional instruction and planning time.

This is what a typical day will look like for all Middle Schools.

With the 2024-25 school year rapidly approaching, we wanted to provide you with information about your student’s first day.

Most PPS students will return to school on Tuesday, August 27 and Wednesday, August 28. There are some notable exceptions. See below for a detailed breakdown.

Pre-K – including Head Start – will begin Thursday, September 5.

Kindergarten begins Tuesday, September 3 - with Ramp Up days between August 27-30.

K-5 schools: All students in grades 1-5 start on August 27.

K8 schools: All students in grades 1-6 start on August 27*. Students in grades 7 and 8 will start on August 28.

Comprehensive middle schools: Students in grade 6 will start on August 27*. Students in grades 7 and 8 will begin on August 28.

Comprehensive and focus high schools: Students in grades 9 and 12 will begin on August 27**. Students in grades 10 and 11 start on August 28.

PPS Nutrition Services is happy to announce all students will be able to enjoy breakfast and lunch at no charge for the 2024-25 school year.

This opportunity is made possible in part by the expansion of federal eligibility and additional funds allocated by the state’s Student Success Act.

Tomorrow, May 8th is Walk+Roll to School Day and many schools across the district are participating!

It’s the perfect opportunity for parents and kids to get outside together and stretch those legs! Walk, bike, skate, scoot, and roll to and from school.

We're excited to showcase the rich diversity of our community and celebrate the many cultures that make Harrison Park Middle School such a vibrant place to learn and grow. But we need your help to make this event truly spectacular!
Here's how you can get involved:
1️⃣ Host an Information Table: Share valuable resources and academic programming with our students by hosting an information table in the front lobby. Your expertise and knowledge could make a big difference in shaping the future of our students.
2️⃣ Cultural Showcase in the Cafeteria: Share your culture's artifacts and delicious food with attendees in the cafeteria. We'll provide all the materials you need, including funds for purchasing food. Let's create a feast for the senses together!
3️⃣ Perform in the Auditorium: Showcase your talents on stage! Whether it's dance, speech, poetry, or another form of artistic expression, we welcome performances that celebrate diversity and unity. Performances are typically less than 10 minutes long, so it's a great opportunity to share your passion with our community.

We wrapped up our OBOB tournament, and Ms Peacock couldn't be prouder of how ALL of our students showed up for this event. Everyone demonstrated such great teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill. Congratulations to our winning team, Return of the Book Bandits! It was a very close final battle.

They will be representing HP at the OBOB regionals tournament in March. We wish them luck!
