Woods Fork Woodworking
Custom woodworking. Fishing landing nets.
My latest build. Two backyard sitters. These are gifts for Ward and Amy Whitney. Enjoy!
I built many landing nets over the last couple years. But not one for myself. Until now. The handle is sapele (shared with me from the boys over at ), ash, padauk. I’ve got two walleye trips to Canada planned for this summer. Will put this bad boy to good use. Cheers!
Got back out in the shop recently for a good cause. I made this landing net for Wink Mitchell’s memorial family fun archery shoot. I’m guessing it will be included in a silent auction. If you are looking for something to do on May 18th, head to this event. You’ll meet some good people. And with the right bid, this net could be going home with you. The handle is red oak, padauk, and ash. Cheers!
Ivanhoe and I cheering on our Gorillas! OAGAAG
A little front porch swing?
Sunday fun-day project.
Kate is starting her teaching career in a couple months. Second grade. Mom and I could not be more proud. She asked if I could build her a mailbox organizer for her room. Here’s my take. She is going to paint it white. I hope she gets years of service out of it.
Target archery caddy. Holds two bows and arrows in the center.
Cutting board I made for Jill Tomczyk. 😀 Took a break from the shop for a few months. Back at it now.
Took some downtime during the holidays to recharge and spend time with family, but managed to build some nice cutting boards. Enjoy.
One day a year, we get these ice ribbon frost flowers. Awesome!
New design! Beautiful black cherry burl! Just a guy in the Ozarks working on my craft.
Look at the way this birds eye maple landing net handle pops! Feeling good about this one!
Landing net handle. All I know is the client likes orange and lives in Colorado. Hhmm?? Broncos?? What’s a KC Chiefs fan to do??
Need a Xmas gift for the fisher person in your life? Handcrafted. Ash hoop. Cherry and black walnut handle. Ready to ship. More importantly, ready for the water! Won’t last long.
Oh boy. What’s happening here? Through rough sanding. Something spectacular in there. Can you see it yet?
Birdseye Maple, Padauk, Ash, and Black Walnut. This one is gonna be special!
Woods Fork Woodworking has been busy! But it’s not “work” when you love what you’re doing. Another new design. All you need to do is say “go”!
What?? A new landing net design from Woods Fork Woodworking?? You know it. Who needs one???
Fishing and football? Yep. Two of my favorite things!
Beautiful crisp morning in the Ozark mountains. Leaves are changing. It rained last night. Water dripping off the trees as I sit in the stand and enjoy.
Pygmy rattlesnake in the driveway this evening. Love living in the Ozark mountains. But watch where you step…
Another “trout shovel” complete and heading to a new home. I hope its gets put to good use!!
I’ve done it dozens of times. Nonetheless, glue up is always stressful!!!
These bad boys are on their way to Yamsi Ranch in Chiloquin, OR. From the wood shop to the water! Brook trout, beware! 😀.
