Found a couple of our Harris Engineering workers featured in the Predator Xtreme magazine today!!
We would just like to thank everyone for supporting our bipods all these years and choosing us for your personal mounting bipod. Being voted the #1 gun-mounted bipod for the 12th year in a row is such an honor. I’m sure if Jerry was here he would be so flabbergasted and proud of how far his bipods have came since the 1970’s. When he started the business there was 13 models, now we have 33 models.
We will continue to make sure Jerry Harris’s legacy is shown in our quality and love for this product🫡

Harris Bipods is a local company here in Ballard County. Jerry Harris (born in 1931- passed away in 2007), when he was younger Jerry and some friends would go shoot crows and varmints with bb guns but they kept forgetting their shooting sticks a lot. So one day he decided to tie two sticks together. When he got older he was tired of the sticks and wanted to make something better, so that’s where he got the idea of the Harris Bipod. He intended on making one for himself, but when he took it to the gun range his buddy wanted one and then that buddy’s buddy wanted one....and so forth.
They are still located in Barlow, KY today.

Have you ever thought about how the Harris bipod was made…??

Jerry Harris (born in 1931- passed away in 2007), when he was younger Jerry and some friends would go shoot crows and varmints with bb guns but they kept forgetting their shooting sticks a lot. So one day he decided to tie two sticks together. When he got older he was tired of the sticks and wanted to make something better, so that’s where he got the idea of the Harris bipod. He intended on making one for himself, but when he took it to the gun range his buddy wanted one and then that buddy’s buddy wanted one. (Is anyone else mind blown or is it just me🤯)

He started manufacturing the Harris Bipod in Detroit, MI 1965.

In 1975 he moved back to Barlow, KY (which is where he’s originally from, west KY area) and started manufacturing the Harris bipod.
We are still located in Barlow today.
*Fun Fact—> Jerry is an alumni of Heath High school*

Fast forward about 50+ years later, Jerry has created a worldwide known gun mounted bipod that has a lifetime warranty that you can’t find anywhere else!! 🫡

Wow, Jerry Harris would be so proud to hear that his Harris Bipod that he created was being learned about in this Police Observer/Sniper Basic Course located in Lebanon, IN!!! So we were more than happy to send some Harris Engineering goodies to them. Thanks again for the photos Robert!!!
