Hello mountain house family and happy new years to everyone

I wanted to point out something that I am seeing quite frequently in mountain house lately and wanted to spread the word.

I am noticing a high amount of mistletoe inside of the trees all around mountain house whether it be at residents homes or city trees.

For all that don’t know Mistletoe is very dangerous to your trees and it spreads quickly.
Mistletoe is a fungus and once it grows on a tree branch it starts sucking away all of the trees nutrients eventually killing your tree the more it spreads. This also causes your trees to be much more vulnerable to infections and parasites due to its nutrients being sucked away by the mistletoe.

Ways to stop the spread of mistletoe is by pruning the tree and cutting away the mistletoe

All cases are different tho and would require an on-site diagnosis.

Please take a look at your trees and feel free to call or message me anytime! We don’t want this spreading throughout the neighborhood.
