Hey friends! Give yourself a bit of grace today ❤
My hope is that each of us can grow in our use of social media and content sharing. Be kind to one another and set strong examples for others ❤
In times like we are experiencing now it is so important to remember to respect others, to understand that not everyone has the same point of view, and no matter the subject, putting others down is only hurting you. Lift others up so that you may rise as well!
The same way that your body depends on food for fuel, your brain requires some healthy nourishment.

Where is your boiling point?
Do you know that panic feeling that sets in when you're making pasta and the water is at a perfect boil, you feel it's balanced enough to step away for a moment... everything's under control. Then you look at the stove and the water's boiled over, you rush in, burn your hand, dump the water and attempt to clean up the scalded mess on the stove. By the time you've cleaned the stove and mended your finger the pasta is overdone and you've lost your appetite. Sound a little bit like life right now?
Take a step back and breathe. Regain your balance. Control your boil and enjoy the process. When you let yourself over boil and then frantically work to clean up the mess, you miss the point, miss the process, and no one enjoys ruined pasta.
It seems that many of us began dealing with feelings of anxiety and depression amid the coronavirus outbreak - and many of us are beginning to experience mixed symptoms going back into some new processes post-quarantine. Remember - we are all experiencing things that we may not have ever experienced before - don't be afraid to reach out and if you see something - say something. Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions and reach out to someone who may be in need.

Often the foods we eat have a direct link to our moods, including shifts in hormones related to stress, anxiety and women's monthly cycles. Cultivate your balance through your belly!
Foods That Can Help Keep Your Hormones Balanced When it comes to changes in our hormones or issues related to these changes such as stress or PMS, we often don't think to turn to food as a remedy. However, certain foods can help balance out your hormones, and including these foods in your diet…
Embrace the journey
Reach out to your loved ones - take 'off-hand' comments a bit more seriously and above all else - don't be afraid to ask difficult questions and let people know that you love them and that they are needed. If you find yourself concerned about someone and not knowing how to handle it - reach out to someone like me for help and guidance

However, the economic impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic can still be felt just about everywhere.

Take it easy today, mamas. Celebrate you and the load you carry, may it seem lighter and blessed with love.
Anyone else feeling this way?
With increased screen time while we are all staying home and trying to stay connected to friends, family, school and work can also be causing us damage we aren't immediately noticing. Try and structure out how much time you're spending on a screen. Adjust the blue light settings on your devices! Fall asleep with a book instead of a tv. Pay attention to changes you are seeing in your child's behaviors as this screen time increases, get outside, play a board game, think outside the "blue light" :)

How Blue Light Affects Mental Health And while there is endless information about the way diet and exercise affect our mental health, scientists are only beginning to understand the role of electronic light in development of mood disorders.
As the stay at home order extends, it is likely that I will be seeing clients through telehealth until at least June as we will be staggering appointments coming back to the office.
Telehealth is not the most comfortable platform for therapy, but know I'm in it with you and we will make it work!
Thanks for sticking it out with me :)
