A simple plant stand. Walnut with mid century lines.

The fireplace mantel installed!
The clients have been living with this partially finished hearth for some time, and wrapping it with walnut like this really sets it apart visually!
I always enjoy the challenge of finding solutions to the unique situations in people’s homes. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss a project of your own! Consultation and quotes are always free of charge, and I have time on my calendar in the upcoming months!

Working on a new set of saw horses for the shop. One of the most useful pieces of shop furniture to have around!

I think I will name this the Dover Coat Rack, and hope to build it again in the future!
Inspired by Mid-Century lines, with a low profile form to fit a narrow space, like a hallway without intruding.
Built out of salvaged Oregon Walnut from and finished with oil.
Contact me if you would like to place an order for a coat rack, or if you have a custom project you would like to discuss!

I hung the coat rack on the shop wall for a test run before install. The fold out coat hooks were a bit of an experiment for me, so I’m happy that with the piece all glued up they are working smoothly!

More scenes from the shop as the coat rack progresses.
A little more pre-finishing and I’ll be ready to put all the pieces together!

Uprights to match the coat rack cross pieces I posted yesterday. Joinery cut, ready for shaping.

Starting work on joinery for a custom wall mounted coat rack!
These cross pieces started off straight, to simplify cutting the half lap joinery. I then used a bandsaw to remove excess waste and a router template to cut the final curve.

Wrapped up installing this built in bench seat/day bed last week!

I made a little modification to this desk drawer so that the clients can hang file folders in it. Super simple, but effective!

Started messing around with a design for some 7” record stands.
Gotta add some curves and bevels, and then I’ll have a few of these available!

A couple closeup shots of the fourth and final set of closet doors (the smaller room made it hard to get these ones all in frame)

Two more closets worth of freshly installed doors!

Walnut sliding doors. Hybrid mortise and tenon frame joinery with half-lap joined grid for the center panel.
Pictured is one closet out of four from this weeks install.
It’s been an amazing project getting the chance to build (so many) doors, multiple cabinets, some wall paneling and a large built in desk - all for the same residence, and has really put my new shop space through its paces.
As always, please contact me if you have a custom furniture or woodworking project that you would like to chat about! I’m always looking for new clients, and have plenty of space on the calendar this winter to get you scheduled!

4,324 notches cut for 2,162 half lap joints on 10 grid panels! Currently in the process of sanding, pre finishing, and gluing the panels up (the even more time consuming part)

Milling and sorting stock for the grid work on four more sets of doors, this time in walnut!

Was at last able to get some photos of these White Oak sliding doors! After initial installation some reworking of the trim was necessary due to out of level openings, but it’s all dialed in now!
The 3”x3” grids for the center panels were a lot of fun to make (although sanding and pre-finishing was a beast on the hundreds of pieces) The grids create some really cool varying shadows as the light changes through the day.
Big thanks to for helping me move the massive 5’ wide doors up a winding set of stairs and get them hung!
I am currently booking projects for this fall and winter, if you think I’d be a good fit for your custom project get in touch by DM or email!
