Oil and Acrylics Exhibit is Live! I am so excited to share this exhibit with you all as we pass the one year anniversary of losing my dad. As hard as it is to believe he’s been gone for this long, his art definitely helps keep me connected with him, as well as honor his incredible talent. I know he would be thrilled to share these paintings with all of you. This Spring I’m featuring my dad’s oil paintings. He by far has painted the most art in this medium. This is the art medium that most reminds me of him, and helps me stay connected and inspired. This exhibit is a small representation of the variety of oil paintings he’s painted over the years. The prints available are stunning. www.DavisAltmanArt.com Enjoy this exhibit in his honor!

2024 Winter Exhibit is Live!
This year we are introducing my dad’s sketches.

My dad studied Figure Painting through art classes he took at Berkeley over the past 25 year period they lived there. In addition to these Figure Classes, he also sketched models who were in his art class with Anthony that he’s been taking since the early 90s when my parents were still living in Piedmont. Once my sister and I were in College and left home, Anthony’s class became like an extended family and he would travel throughout Europe with the art group and friends every year. My dad would sketch sights and people throughout these trips. These were quick sketches he’d make of street scenes and coffee shops. He’d also sketch what is referenced as ‘studies’ for future full scaled watercolors. He was a very quick sketch artist. He painted quickly in all mediums. My dad loved learning and seeking more in art, art techniques, history and anything actually.

This all new 2024 Winter Exhibit features these studies and figure sketches. There are prints available from this exhibit and they are stunning! The Sketches look so good framed individually, a few in a group, or mixed in an art wall. I love them all and am excited to share this all new exhibit! www.DavisAltmanArt.com

‘It’s a Wonderful Life!’ The Holiday Gallery is HERE! All new exhibit and prints.
The Holiday Season is all about Nostalgia. Although we have had so much bad in this world, it’s still ‘A Wonderful Life.’ One thing I most certainly inherited from my dad is my positive outlook and attitude. By motivating us to remember the best of our past in our own life, Nostalgia helps to unite us to that authentic self and remind us of who we have been, where we came from, and then compare that to who we feel we are today. Nostalgia is what gives us a sense of who we want to be down the road in the future. Nothing like the holiday season to bring out Nostalgia.
For the Holidays, we are launching “mini prints!” These are perfect for gift giving. They’re numbered and limited, and printed on the same cotton archival paper like the regular prints. They are 6” x 8” and are all so beautiful and look really nice layered with larger art, and add dimension to any display. They are nice and small, “Micro Art.” We also have a few of our classic 12x16 (and a 9x12) regular size prints that are incredible! www.DavisAltmanArt.com

Grateful for a little beauty and magic to enjoy among all that’s wrong in the world.

My dad loved to paint. He was so talented and created art quickly. It was his escape. It was his peace… He loved sharing the beauty and peace his art created within him, with the world. I hope this is what happens when we all see his art. The time he spent on his art is a gift.

I am so excited about our calendars!
‘Time is a Gift’ is our theme launching our 2024 desk calendars. They are stunning and so special. Starting early, as they are limited and want to give everyone the opportunity to order early.

Twelve of the most popular watercolor paintings from past two years of our online art gallery’s exhibits, featured in our custom limited edition desk calendars - includes a wood cube stand to display on any tabletop, bookshelf, or desk top. Also fit perfect and look really great in a 5x7 frame!

I am so excited and proud of this “back to school” fall exhibit! ‘Hit the Books’ gallery went live today. and it is so special! My dad was an avid reader and painted over a hundred portraits of his favorite writers over the years. They are all small paintings and look so great grouped together— they are incredible and so special! We have designed, high-end “posters” of the writers, (rather than limited prints.) ‘Hit the Books’ posters and logo tote bags available online www.DavisAltmanArt.com These posters would make an incredible addition to anyone’s home library, living room, den or office. Buy one, or a grouping; they make great gifts. I love them and my dad would be absolutely thrilled with the result! The tote bags are so cute and perfect for carrying your books or groceries and also make a perfect gym or work bag! Good luck to all starting school and everyone sending kids back to school this week - ‘Hit the Books!’

Magic: A mysterious power that makes impossible things happen.

Fiat Lux- “Let there be Light” exhibit is live! So excited for this one - the best one yet! www.DavisAltmanArt.com. Fiat Lux, Latin for “Let there be Light,” is the theme for this exhibit. Light restores the earth to a state of beauty and order. Bringing clarity and direction to how a person lives their life is referred to as “being enlightened.” Light is illumination and intelligence.
As we are in the “back to school” season, and as students are heading back on campuses, we are inspired by UC Berkeley’s motto of Fiat Lux. UC Berkeley, Bay Area and light filled illuminated paintings. It’s so good —
