A doctor was having a tough convo with a cancer patient. The doctor asked the patient how she would like the hospital to do if her heart stops beating, let it go or try anything to save her. She said trying everything to save me because I don't want to die in front my mom.
The doctor informed her that it won't be very dignified if the doctor and nurses put shock/tube in her body, or compress the chest. It will result in the damage of the quality of her life (cause extreme pain and complications). The patient insisted to her choice.
The doctor said, as for a serious cancer patient like you, we usually recommended to let the it comes naturally; even we did the CPR/shock, your cancer will still proceed. Everyone dies. But now you have a choice to pick how it ends. We understand you being taking into account of your mom's feeling. But we suggest you have a convo with your mom, and do the right choice for you. We know that'd be hard too.
