Our employees who own Theragun massage devices swear by them! Not everyone is lucky enough to have a great blue heron visiting their backyard! However, one of our employees has the perfect "heron birdfeeder' in her backyard and shared this beautiful photo of a great blue heron stalking its meal. Herons are relatively common, but they're always exciting to see. Their size and majestic bearing set them apart. Most adult male great blues' wingspan is between 5.5 and 6.5 feet and they stand around 4 feet tall! That's a lot of bird wrapped up in a package of just around 5 lbs. thanks to their hollow bones and lightweight feathers. This is an exciting time of year for birders with migratory species passing through on their way south. Herons either migrate or not, depending on where they are located. If you're a birder, we have lots of options to help you dress comfortably, while you're adding to your list and taking photos. We also have a terrific selection of binoculars and spotting scopes to 'get up close'.

Here's a picture to make your mouth water! The season for huckleberries is pretty much winding down, but if you're lucky you may have some of these little jewels stashed in your freezer! In our area Moscow Mountain is a place to find them through the summer . . due to elevation, picking is better further north of us. But don't dispare. We actually stock huckleberry products in our store from Huckleberry People and other brands, including huckleberry pancake mix and huckleberry syrup, (yum!) plus jelly and candies. Mmm-mmm!

Hope you're enjoying your Labor Day! Some have the day off while others, like this Red Banded Bumble Bee, are, well, "busy as bees". He's working away harvesting pollen from his sunflower fields. Drew Crocker is a busy man this time of year as he's our "go-to" guy in the archery department. Drew brings the knowledge and experience of a seasoned archer to everything he does. Rely on his expertise for repairing and servicing bows, re-fletching arrows, chronograph, paper tuning, and more! Stop in and get ready for the season!

Mike works hard for our company and he plays hard! An avid runner, he plays basketball, softball, disc golf, and flag football! Theragun Massage is a BIG part of his game plan. He uses his massagers to relieve tightness, pressure and stress pre, during, and post workout. Typically he packs his smaller Mini Theragun model with him but will take his Pro model to more demanding events saying, "It's a more intense heavy-hitter." Like the recent 3-On-3 basketball tournament he participated in. Playing seven games in one day between 9am and 4pm, he used his Theragun Pro between games. Lauren was super excited and shared with us that figure amounts to an entire fundraiser for them and will go a long way toward supporting the animals in their care.
