Smokey is a great boy. Someone give him a chance. He is a beautiful Lab with great demeanor. He really doesn’t want to spend another night on the hard floor all alone.

He seems to be potty trained, he knows the sit & shake command. He loves being chased. He just is great natured.

He is dog friendly and good with kids. We havent tested him with cats yet.

Smokey is around 70 lbs and total sweetness.

Smokey is located in Macon, GA and his adoption fee has been paid already for anyone approved to adopt him.

Flexx has had a busy few days.

K9 Flexx was requested to assist a Federal Task Force in conducting a 94c sniff (narcotics search) on October 17, 2022. Upon deployment, K9 Flexx immediately began searching for the items in question. K9 Flexx alerted to the presence of a narcotic odor from the items. Upon obtaining a warrant, officers were able to locate two large packages consistent with co***ne.

Update - Both have been ADOPTED!

Dolly Mae was returned today. Adopter said she was climbing everything. 🤦🏼‍♀️ These two need a committed adopter. And two kittens are better than one!

I’M JUST A BABY!

I'm not sure what happened to me… One of my back paws is cut deeply across the pads; it was infected, so I must have hit something hard or maybe I fell out the window of a moving car. I have fluid build-up on my hip - maybe it’s from when I hit the ground? Nothing is broken, though. I weigh 6 pounds - yes, I'm pretty little. Any help with my care would be wonderful! I know Westside has so many of us to help!

This sad face belongs to Duke, 10 year old American Bulldog. Duke and his buddy, Jackson, were left behind after some very sad events. Duke's dad passed away and mom when to a nursing home. Mom passed away soon after. This boy has obviously been loved. Duke is in good shape for a senior, aside from some hearing loss. He is a sweet boy who needs a loving home. Thor was using his puppy dog eyes last night wondering why no one asked to meet him!! I told him not to worry and that we would find him the best home ever!!! Message us to meet this precious Angel and you can fall victim to his puppy dog eyes too!! 🤣

This face has been haunting us since he reached his paw through the shelter bars last week to say hello. We were at the shelter to meet another dog, and Denali Wally reached out gently asking for our help. The shelter staff brought him out of his kennel to be the “temp tester” for the dog we were there to save. Denali was so friendly and calm – a true gem. When the temp test was done, he looked at us sadly as he was led back to his kennel and we left with the other dog.

We’ve thought of him every moment since he first reached his paw out for our help. We’ve been working behind the scenes to set up a foster plan for him. We’ve got a limited number of big dog fosters, so it is difficult these days to save even the most deserving dogs.

We hope Denali Wally’s pleading look stays with you too and makes you take action. Please donate so we can make him an Angel.

Strong people don't put others down, they lift them up.

The sun is shining down on Bearon. Like the sun, this blue-eyed bandit is an early riser. This happy boy loves to snuggle up and watch movies, go for a frozen yogurt, and do zoomies in the yard. Bearon is a 3-year-old, 65-pound, Great Dane & Catahoula mix (we think). He’s house and crate trained and walks well on leash. He’s looking for his forever family and would do best in a home where he can be the only pet or has one other submissive dog.

Bearon is quite the love bug and very sweet. He’s very friendly and well-mannered. He is great with simple commands and walks very nicely on a leash.

Hi hoomans, my name is Doli, and I'm in the prime of my life at eight years old.

Everyone comments on my sky blue eyes and thick husky-type hair that is every shade of gold you can imagine. My tail is like a fox's - thick, long and curly. At 45 - 50 pounds, I consider myself the perfect size - not huge and not tiny - I'm just right!

I am very chill and quiet. That doesn't mean I don't get excited because I do! When the hoomans come home, I do a fun little wiggle dance to welcome them! I would be a great fit for a shared wall situation since I rarely bark.

I LOVE being outside, and I like to go on walks and car rides. When I am inside, I have the very bestest manners. I like the security of my crate, but I don't need to be locked in. I sleep in my crate, on the floor, or in the master walk-in closet that I think is my den. I wouldn't dream of chewing up anything. Well, maybe I would DREAM it but wouldn't actually DO it! I don't get on the furniture either.

I am a little shy around new people, but I warm up quickly and have adjusted fine in my foster home. I am not a fan of other animals, but if I see them out, I just ignore them and hope they go away! I can definitely tell if you have cheated on me while you were out. My sniffer will find the evidence, and you will see the disappointment in my eyes!

Introducing the doe-eyed, gorgeous Plakat ( ; affectionately called Mimi as well)! Who can resist that face?!

Plakat is estimated to be 3 years old, weighs about 40 pounds, and is currently heartworm positive.

This lucky girl is fortunate to currently be in a foster home, and her foster parent just checked in with us to tell us how things are going:

"During the 4 weeks she's been with us, Mimi has become friends with our 160-pound Great Dane/English Mastiff mix. Hoss is a true gentle giant, and he sets an excellent example for Mimi by allowing her to engage in healthy play sessions. This little lady is full of energy and loves to romp and frolic, but she's also perfectly content to lie on her dog bed at your feet and chew on one of her bones. Basically she just wants to be in the same room or in the yard with someone whenever possible. Also of note, Mimi appears to be cat-friendly, showing only a healthy curiosity toward ours.

"She is both crate and potty-trained. She is kept inside her crate when we aren't home, and at night she sleeps in our bedroom on her doggie bed. We do not have children in our home, and therefore are unable to attest to her behavior around kids on a day-to-day basis. Mimi accepts any corrections well, although she hasn't needed many anyway.

"One of her best features is she is not reactive to environmental stimuli at all. Our 3 dogs will bark initially when anyone comes into the house, but Mimi just perks her head up and waits to see if chiming in is warranted... she rarely decides it is. We live beside a new subdivision with several houses under construction just beyond our fence. Mimi could not care less about the workers or their power tools.

"Mims is a cuddle bug who loves affection and will happily welcome as much attention as you are willing to give. She's our eighth foster dog, and I can say without hesitation she has been the easiest and most well-behaved pup we've had the joy of helping."

HAZEL is such a pretty dog. She looks like chocolate latte! Hazel is a two year old Labrador Retriever mix. She is just oh so sweet and doing awesome in her foster home. Hazel is awesome with other dogs and would love a furry dog friend or two. She is the best cuddler and would love to be your new best friend.
