Wow is all I have to say! What a blessed weekend in Texarkana. Our team's been through a series of highs and lows in 2024, but it's so much fun when the pieces fall into place and things work out. It's even better when it's at a great race like the Texarkana Showdown, where Showdown Productions did a great job of producing the event with a great payout, ground and more!

Hello Stella and I won the High Stakes 1D this week for over $13K, plus Dale Long and Talented Angel won the 2D for almost $8k!

We drove home last night, but I'm gathering up videos and more words to share with you all. God's plan is always so much greater than ours. ❤❤

When you're rodeoing, you have to take the good with the bad, and ride the rollercoaster wave. We've been drawing checks and Stella has been handling everything like the champion she is.

I just want to say that I have so much respect for the girls out here on the trail. There's so many situations that are simply out of your control when you're rodeoing, and many aren't fair. You can choose to be frustrated, or you can choose to learn from each experience and have faith that your time is coming. I've watched the girls who win consistently keep a smile on their face, put their horses first at all times and stay the course on their goals no matter what they face.

Futurities, open barrel races and rodeos are all such different beasts, and there's tough riders and horses everywhere you go. I'm blessed to sit on one of the best, and I strive everyday to be the best jockey and owner I can to her and put her first.
