Mewinzha – Alexandera Houchin Blow up a balloon, it’s full. Shiny even. More than anything, the balloon reveals your reflection in her taught, shiny facade. You look past the balloon; the balloon reveals your likeness. The balloon deflated is stretched, wrinkled. Useless. It’s fulfilled it’s purpose. Sometimes, most of t...
We have been FAT TIRE BIKING with Ditibise bad ass Alexandera Houchin! Whoop whoop! What’s your new adventure this winter??
100k challenge and we are still at it! What are your goals for this new year??
It was our Oprahnniversary this week!!
We are excited to announce Winter Count 2020, a virtual organized by Red Earth Running Company. Winter Count 2020 will be hosted from December 21-27. This virtual run coincides with the first day of winter in the northern hemisphere. It marks a seasonal shift when we will start to see more sunlight.
Winter Count is inspired by our relatives from the Northern Plains. It is a nod to winter counts, which are time honored tools used by Native families and communities to record significant events that happen throughout a year. This year is significant. We organized Winter Count to gather (virtually), run, and mark this moment together.
5k, 10k, and 1/2 marathon options available. Registration limited to 300 runners.

Indigenous Running Warrior Challenge Sept 2020
this is the most beautiful time of year in Northern MN! We are working hard to stay healthy and sane 😂
We hope you are too! 🧡💪🏾
Life has changed. We are still at it. We did a second mileage challenge this month with the KidneyKeepers, another Native running group. This has been a great way to push ourselves forward during such a challenging time.
Kwepack doing what kwepack do! We hope you’re staying steady and safe and sane during this very unsure time and transitions. Our heart to yours.🍓🤎
The Healing Circle Run 2020 is a prayer for healing. It is an opportunity to come together (virtually) to pray for healing for ourselves, our families, our communities, our nation, Aki and all our relatives. Although this year was different, the KwePack is honored to be a part of this strong community. Miigwech to GLIFWC and their partners for organizing this every year. We will all be back next year running across our homelands together.

Throwback to our Good Morning America Interview 💪🏾💪🏾 Good Morning America
How these Native American women found the strength to heal through running Sarah Agaton Howes formed KwePack, a running group at Fond du Lac Reservation, Minnesota, but it's grown into a space for Native American women to heal and show strength.
Flashback Friday to our interview with Good Morning America last year!
Our second isolation event of the year! KweRUNtine too!! Grandma's weekend is a special weekend for so many of us. It was very hard not to be together but lots of folks got out and made some memories.
We all WANT to do SOMETHING.
Miigwech to our friends, family, networks, the KwePack was able to gather $1073 yesterday! One our members hit the store armed with a list of needs for folks on the ground and deliver direct in MPLS. We see you community!
“I can’t breath”
The KwePack stands together in support of the communities we love striving for justice.
Our ancestors dreamed us up as strong.
Every year for eight years the kwepack does a spring race together. Due to the covid our race was canceled. Valuing our community-we will all be running but with our in-home families or at a distance in duos.
Bittersweet as it is, we are grateful to be healthy enough to run.
Grateful for our ancestors for seeing us to this day. Grateful for each other and knowing we will run as a pack again someday.
If you see these kwewag out please cheer and honk for them tomorrow.
