AH-mazing Crochet Creations
I crochet — a lot. Buy some of my creations!
Finished this classic afghan, which I’m calling the Americana Ripple. It’s the ripple stitch (or chevron), the first stitch my mom taught me, way back in 1970-something.
I switched it up by varying the number of rows for each color. Mom would always do repeats of 4, 6, 8 or 12 rows of each color.
The yarn is Lion Brand Heartland, the one with colors named after National Parks.
This beauty can be yours if the price is right. Make me an offer.
I’ve started on my 2023 temperature afghan. Struggling with six straight days without a color change.
Opted for a kind of neutral palette this year. Single crochet, but I might switch it up by month.
Each row is half daily average and half high temp.
Making progress. This one’s for Kathy, but yours is next, Tricia!
Who's with me?
Actually, I LOVE to do yoga ... I just don't do it as often as I'd like to.
Partway through Danica Pullover No. 2. Yarn is Lion Brand Mandala in Wizard.
Good question, eh?
Finished my first Danica Pullover — & I ❤️ it so much I’m making another one with a self-striping 🧶 named “Wizard.”
Started making myself this Danica Pullover from Tinderbox last weekend. Goal is to finish it before my vacation to Oregon at the end of May.
She is finished!
Making progress!
Started a new order for someone the other day. Will post progress shot later!
In keeping with the sh*tshow that was 2020, my crochet temperature blanket is a mess. You see before you January through June & it already almost covers a queen bed.
So I call it finished.
Now! I have to decide whether to do another one for July-December or just say forget it.
Whipped up these adorable slipper socks last weekend.
Pattern by Zeens and Roger (written in British terms, so I had to translate all the dc to sc and htr to hdc.)
On New Year’s Eve, I decided to commemorate 2020 with a temperature Afghan. One row per day, separated by a neutral color each month. I’m into June ...
I’m also doing a 2021 temperature afghan, in a completely different pattern. That one is up to date. Photo to come later.
Just realized I never showed you the finished Mickeys. They’re now in their forever home.
This sweater is quickly becoming a favorite!
One Mickey sans eyes and pants ... guess he can’t see he’s naked, eh? 😉
Love how he looks like he’s giving a thumbs-up!
Progress on 2 Mickeys!
Mickey Mouse is slowly taking shape!
Took an online class the other week to learn the gingham check pattern. Thanks to the gals at Daisy Farm crafts for the knowledge!
It was cool enough today to wear my new cowl neck sweater!
Today’s high is 45, so it’s time for hot coffee. I broke out my handmade coffee cup cozy!
You too can wrap your drink cup in practical style. Ask me how. 😉
Pooh’s Glamour Shot courtesy of Robin Layton, his appreciative owner!
Reusable coffee sleeve, anyone?
If you want one, let me know. I’ll send you my PayPal link and mail it to you when I get your $6.
Here’s a sneak peek at my newest commission. Sooo soft and squishy! 😄
Wore a sweater I made myself yesterday. It’s from a pattern by Hooked on Homemade Happiness (for some reason I couldn’t tag the page) and the yarn is Red Heart Super Saver Ombré.
Pooh headed out for pickup (last week).
Pooh is ready for his Thursday pickup. I think he looks more Pooh-like in profile.
Weekend progress on my 1st stuffed animal. Does it look like Pooh yet?
I found a great pattern for reusable Swiffer covers, courtesy of Black Rose Stitches. They’re a great way to use scrap cotton yarn!
Want one? I’ll mail you one for $8.
Spotted this on Instagram and loved the sentiment. A perfect message for Almost Eagle. 😉
That feeling when you run out of yarn 2/3 of the way through a project... 😫
These scarves are already finished—not that we need winter 🧣 in Arizona right now.
