I'm struggling with my sleep pattern. It could be hormonal, it could be diet, it could be the time change from Mountain to Eastern back earlier this month. My go to change in nutrition is to drink less tea, drink NO alcohol, eat more fruits and veggies, and use my Arbonne products. What do you do for sleep issues? I would love to know!

It's summer 2023, and it is drawing to a close. I love summer, but I'm also excited about this fall. I have a new full time job on the horizon, but I am still passionate about healthy living alongside of work. I recently re-started protein shakes with greens and fresh fruit. My husband has been doing the chocolate protein from Jennifer Cook Arbonne with lots of success in maintenance of a healthy weight. He is a work from home IT guy so he doesn't get a lot of movement in his day. The shakes have been a healthy choice for lunch by the computer. I like the Vanilla Arbonne Protein for quick breakfast in the car or as a healthy snack after work. What are your go to snacks? Breakfast? Lunch?

Beginning today, I’m going to start touching on those “AVOID LIST” foods.
Something in us longs to know the WHY behind things, so I hope to share those with you. Today we’ll start with our biggest culprit of them all – SUGAR.
Health Issues Related to Sugar Addiction
Sugar has many destructive effects on the human body, including but not limited to, damaging, altering and disrupting proper function of the nervous system, endocrine system, metabolic system, cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal system and immune system as well as primary organs like the liver, kidneys, colon and pancreas. The list of health problems associated with sugar is enormous and too large to go into completely in one article, but some of the most common include:
depression
mood swings
irritability
depletion of mineral levels
hyperactivity
anxiety or panic attacks
chromium deficiency
depletion of the adrenal glands
type 2 diabetes
hypoglycemia
obesity
candida overgrowth
high cholesterol
anti-social behavior such as that found in crime and delinquency
anger
control issues
insomnia
decreased immune function
aggression
neurotransmitter deficiencies
high blood pressure
heart disease
alcoholism
acne
PMS
OCD
attention deficit
binging
obesity
chronic fatigue
addiction

The consumption of sugar is considered to be one of the three major causes of degenerative disease in America even by the American Diabetes Association. Sugar is so destructive it can probably be linked to just about any health condition you think of and then some. One of the most important issues for anyone living with a chronic illness is the impact sugar has on the immune system. Sugar suppresses the immune system. Regardless of whether you're trying to improve your health or protect it, removing sugar from your diet is probably one of the most important things you can do for yourself and your health. That and the avoidance of environmental toxins. There are few things in life where we have a lot of control what happens to us, but the food we put into our bodies is something that is totally within our control.
Making better choices in food has a significant impact on our level of health, emotionally, physically and spiritually and it doesn't require expensive lab work, prescriptions, remedies or trips to the doctor. Removing sugar from your diet is not as easy as you think, because sugar is used as an additive for preservation and to make things more palatable. So it is basically found in most commercial foods. Unless you are living a health conscious life-style and picking your food wisely, sugar is in your catsup, morning cereal, spaghetti sauce, soup, salad dressing, peanut butter, pancake syrup, bread, yogurt, you name it and it probably has sugar in it. They even put sugar in your salt. You must learn to read labels very carefully and make different choices when shop to decrease/eliminate sugar from your diet.
If you needed more reason to ditch these drinks...check out the amount of sugar in them! And remember, sugar leaves your body in an acidic state and leads to inflammation which leads to sickness and disease. And to all you "diet" drinkers that think you͛'re ͚ok͛, I͛'m going to sock it to YOU tomorrow, because artificial sweeteners are even WORSE! For all of you having headaches, if you normally drank any of these things, that's why!

On week 3 of the 30 day to healthy living! I've succeeded and failed. It is a journey my friends! You will not be perfect, but you can seek to perfect your diet with smarter food and drink choices! Day 5 of 30...
I'm starting the day with a glass of water, and then I'll move onto Detox Tea (Arbonne). I am adjusting to GF and dairy free living, but I have a hard time going Sugar Free! It's a process. Baby steps. The GF is easier with labels, but the DF seems to take more effort. The SF is just plain hard when you have a sweet tooth. Working on it. Thankful there is a FB group with good encouragement and reminders.

Felt under the weather Sunday, but I battled the fatigue with Arbonne: orange and tangerine vanilla protein smoothie for lunch and strawberry fizz in the afternoon...made it through the day with energy. Vitamins and protein do help a body function at its finest. What are you putting into your system? Does it make you feel better? I'd love to share more about Arbonne's healthy living products for nutrition. It's made a huge difference for our family.

Do you pamper your skin? If not, why not? If so, what are your pampering tools?

Mine: Arbonne facial sunscreen, Arbonne RE9 regimen at night when I'm feeling like time is on my side, and Arbonne's acne and RE9 cleansers. I'm looking forward to trying the new Arbonne skincare line when my current products run out! Times they are a changing AND so is my skin...wrinkles are there friends. Wrinkles are there.
