Prepare for the new 324 area code. Beginning January 29, 2024, calls made in the 904 area code must be dialed using the area code + 7-digit telephone number. After this date, calls placed using 7 digits will not be completed.

Job Title: Mapping/Facilities Specialist

Purpose of Job:

Mapping of construction sheets, maps, and other related specification sheets to be used in the installation of telecommunications equipment and cable, for the purpose of creating and maintaining CPR/Capital Account records and Plant Assignments thru the use of a work order and service order process. These processes require coordination between engineering, plant, and commercial staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keep track of all companies open work orders and monitor the issuing of material, labor and length of time open.
• Keep all companies updated about issues concerning the closing of work orders that relate to the issue of material, labor, job sheets and construction drawings.
• Close work orders for all companies and post to the mapping system.
• Responsible for the mapping of any company using Townes Mapping System. The mapping will require taking information received from printed map sheets, staking sheets, schematics and verbal information received from a company and transposing this into a geo-based mapping system.

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities in a timely manner
