We had some guest that hike around the Bristlecone Pines and were kind enough to share their photos with us. If you ever feel the need for a small adventure, Ancient Bristlecone Pine forest is home to the oldest trees in the world, and is only about an hour from us!

Santa's little helpers visited our hotel last week to make sure we were ready for holiday season. Just in time for our indoor fireplace season to start also. After dinner, there is no better place to the the chill of the night off, than in front of the fireplace!

Meet our team leader, Carlos, who leads our staff at The Whistling Trout Restaurant. Carlos has been part of our amazing team for almost 6 years, but he has been cooking up a storm all around Bishop for the last 12 years.
Carlos moved to Bishop 20 years ago from Guadalajara, Mexico. While cooking is a passion for him, his favorite way to spend his free time is with his family and Grandson.
If you see Carlos on your next visit, make sure you tell him HI!

Just as the sun is peaking out, our lobby is ready for all our new visitors this weekend! If you arrive a little early for check in, we have some board games in our lobby sitting area that you can enjoy to pass the time. Want to enjoy the outside area instead? Take a stroll through our creek sitting area or check out Bishop Park across the street.
Want to cool off and explore at the same time? We recommend heading north a little bit to enjoy the beautiful Convict Lake. The lake has a 2.5 walking path around it, so you can beat the heat and enjoy mother nature at the same time!
Now is the perfect time to cool off in our pool to beat this heat! Pool towels are always available at the pool, so bring a hat and relax pool side!

Today is the Grand re-opening of our in house restaurant, The Whistling Trout! We are so excited to offer this exclusive amenity to our in house guests. Chef Val has been working endlessly to get the menu items just perfect, and we have to say she did an amazing job.
Chef Valeria is a California native and a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, Pasadena. Chef Val's favorite meal to prepare is breakfast. She enjoys helping the guest get the best start to their day. Plus, who doesnโt like a good breakfast?
Spring is so close, and we couldn't be any more excited to see our little creek begin to bloom with life again!
